Top raver, booth infiltrator and our very own AM to PM girl, Lissy Lübeck is back on Ibiza for summer 2024, which means another weekly serving of misadventures in clubland. Here, Lissy shares her thoughts, experiences and inner musings direct from the dancefloor.
A year older, perhaps. But a year wiser? Nah.
If you heard it from anybody else, you'd dismiss it as hyperbole, but Lissy Lü's real life is like that... Partying as a profession is a hard life, but somebody's got to do it!
The best things in life are free (beach parties!)
5 to 9 August
Monday
Phoebe and Sophie being huge Sonny Fodera fans, it was only right to take my girls to see the man himself whilst they were visiting.
Standard procedure meant we started the night at Café Mambo. A huge group of us gathered, ready to get the night going. After some lovely grub and cocktails, we moved onto the club to catch the last of Paisley Jensen, before Miguel Bastida hopped on the decks.

This time next week, it will be me playing before him!
I hadn't planned on staying any later than 04:00. However, you know how things go when you make a plan on Ibiza - the exact opposite way. Before we knew it, we were back at The W Hotel in Santa Eulalia with LF System, at Sonny's suite until 10:00.
Assuming we’d be asked to leave, to our surprise, the hotel staff were very welcoming, with bottles of rosé wine and trays of Aperol Spritz appearing one after the other!
Tuesday
Waking up a little later than planned, I met the girls for their last night on the island. We headed into Dalt Vila to find a spot for food and some NON-alcoholic beverages. Fortunately, they were feeling just as fragile as me. Sometimes being wholesome is a necessity every so often.
After a gander around some of the old town's boutiques, and of course an ice cream from Vivi's as a night cap, it was time to say farewell to the girls before they headed home to a rainy UK. Sad times.
Wednesday
Deja Vu! On Wednesday, I opened up Hï Ibiza's Wild Corner for the second time, nearly a year to the day since the first time. A little more confident behind the decks than a year ago, I definitely felt more comfortable this time around. The nerves were still there, of course.
I love the Boiler Room feel of the toilets, though it can be a little intimidating surrounded by strangers all staring at you and counting on you to bring the vibes.
I managed to get the crowd going with some vocal house rhythms that I love and even got a few compliments from the security guards. After my set, I chatted with Jason Bye and caught up with Solardo and Kitty Amor.
Hopefully I'll get the call back next summer too! Or maybe even a slot in the Club Room or The Theatre? Gotta dream big!
Friday
I kicked off the weekend with the annual Ibiza Global festival on San Antonio’s Playa S'Arenal. Both locals and tourists were out in force, inhabiting the beach until the early hours and dancing under the stars. The vibes were nothing short of spectacular.
The best things in life are free - and that includes beach parties! Who says Ibiza has to be expensive? We might need to come back tomorrow for day two and do the whole thing over again.
To round off the night, we ended in Itaca. Though this was just the start of many people’s night out, it was the end of ours. With a DJ, many areas to chill out or dance, friendly staff and an ideal location, this bar makes a great spot for a pre-party to your night out.
Restaurant of the week
Before Ibiza Global Festival, Hayley and I strolled up to the end of the road in San Antonio harbour to Skinny Kitchen’s sister restaurant, Eat Me - a new hotspot for tasty fast food.
Stuffing your face with food before hitting the dancefloor isn't always the smartest idea, but when hunger call, you have to listen! We went halves on a burger and hotdog, as well as trying out Eat Me's famous Snicker shake.
We ended on a sugar high with some sugar-coated churros, and Hayley even cracked on with a cocktail.

NOSPACE | Eden | Friday 23 August
After turmoil in recent weeks surrounding court proceedings around the rights of the Space Ibiza brand, Friday nights at Eden have been rebranded to NOSPACE: a playground for House music enthusiasts looking for a slice of authentic rave culture whilst sticking it to the man!
Line-ups are being released on a week-by-week basis. Already, the likes of Hector Couto, Josh Butler, Murphy's Law and Reelow have played. Whilst next week's is still currently TBA, rest assured that only the most revered and exciting upcoming DJs will be asked to grace the decks.
Whisper from the dancefloor
Ibiza is truly a destination for everyone. If you need any further proof, a former UK Prime Minister was spotted soaking up the atmosphere at one of Ibiza's night markets earlier this week...

Tune of the week
Right Now | Mihai Pol | Dubøka Records | 2 August
The cultured Mihai Pol has amassed a fine discography over the years. Born in Romania, he is known for his sound that operates at the deeper end of the Tech House and Minimal spectrum, and now finds him inaugurating a new label Dubøka.
His brand new EP opens with Right Now, a track that combines minimal synth design, while some sweet vocal hooks add to the soul of the production.
It's giving an early Ricardo Villalobos track at Pyramid on a Sunday at Amnesia or something you'd hear at TRIP at Chinois. You may rarely see him perform on Ibiza, but you’ve definitely heard his tracks played out more than you think.
