Top raver, booth infiltrator and our very own AM to PM girl, Lissy Lübeck is back on Ibiza for summer 2024, which means another weekly serving of misadventures in clubland. Here, Lissy shares her thoughts, experiences and inner musings direct from the dancefloor.
A year older, perhaps. But a year wiser? Nah.
If you heard it from anybody else, you'd dismiss it as hyperbole, but Lissy Lü's real life is like that... Partying as a profession is a hard life, but somebody's got to do it!

Thursday
Before conducting another interview, the team headed to INNSiDE Ibiza Beach to the brand new Breeza Bar & Restaurant to give our tastebuds a workout.
Located by the family pool of the hotel which overlooks the idyllic shores of Playa Pinet, not only does the restaurant boast great views, but the food was brilliant too.
The perfect poolside lunch options, from bitesize sides and smalls of tacos and barbecue wings, to paellas to share and sumptuous burgers. There is something for everyone on this menu - including the kids. Oh, and the cocktails definitely hit the spot too!
Afterwards, we headed over to Playa d'en Bossa to get the inside scoop from James Hype and Meduza on the eve of their full club takeover at Hï Ibiza with their renowned Our House imprint.
From their chart-topping anthems that put them on the map in the first place, to new music and their Friday night residency alongside David Guetta, we covered it all.
Turns out, I've already interviewed as many artists this year as I did my whole first season in Ibiza in 2022 - and it’s only May! What an achievement.
Friday
A party that many from all over the world fly in for, today was the opening party of Calvin Harris at Ushuaïa, "the biggest party on the island".
Arriving at around 20:45, I caught the last of MK before the man himself arose from behind the decks and wowed the crowds. Two full hours of the best of his old school anthems and edits, all 7,000 heads were singing along and head-boppin' in awe.
The group of lads on the VIP table next to us were super friendly, and invited us to their table at Hï Ibiza afterwards. With a prime bird's eye view overlooking the whole of The Theatre dancefloor and DJ booth, we caught Meduza and James Hype in full swing.
Both rooms, plus the Wild Corner were all packed out, resembling a peak summer night. Well done, guys.
Saturday
Something little different to the typical electronic sounds that consume the island, on Saturday myself and Steve headed over to Eden to get involved in a bit of R&B and Hip Hop with Peaches at Eden.
A total mix of demographics, it was a real metropolis of partygoers - and so was the music. From the sounds of UK rap sensations Central Cee and Dave, to Hispanic sing-along songs of Bad Bunny and French Hip-Hop star Vegedream, it was a real mixture. Everyone was getting involved.
It was good vibes all round at Peaches.
Sunday
The epitome of wholesome, myself and my flatmate Lucy Jane grabbed a cab into the Old Town for a much needed girly day of shopping, lunch and exploring.
Starting off at UP at The Standard, we indulged in multiple bloody mary cocktails and shared some freshly made Mexican tacos. We could’ve stayed there all day. The views, drinks and weather were absolutely sublime.
We also stocked up on some important girly necessities, namely make-up and some new clothes from shops around the town, before taking Lucy over to Vivi’s Creamery for a delicious ice cream. They even posted my Instagram story to their main feed.
We then grabbed a taxi back to San Antonio where we ended up at Al Ayoun, an Arabic-inspired restaurant with incredible views of the sunset. I make that a Sunday well spent in my book.
Monday
Not your typical Monday. I was lucky enough to be invited on a private yacht for the day for a trip to Formentera. A fully kitted out yacht with three bedrooms, three bathrooms and DJ booth, it was one of the dreamiest boats I’d ever seen.
The staff were super attentive and were pouring us Dom Perignon champagne every ten minutes, with fresh fruit platters perfectly layed-out on the tables for us. I felt like royalty!
I was super excited to jump into the crystal clears of Formentera, however I was too preoccupied on the boat! At around 16:00 we were taken by a little skipper boat to the shore to Chezz Gerdi for a late lunch. Mojitos, paellas, mussels, steak - it was divine.
Hopefully I’ll get to return once more before the end of the season.
Restaurant of the week
I can’t enthuse about Chezz Gerdi on Formentera enough. Being one the primary spots of the sister island as well as people travelling over by boat each day, that means it does get very busy, so booking is advised.
Despite being run of their feet, the staff are very friendly and attentive and food is excellent.
With a fresh choice of fish, a menu del dia and homemade pizzas, it’s a great spot to try if you find yourself on Formentera. Though a little more expensive than your average restaurant, you get your money's worth from the portion sizes and quality.
I’m still dreaming about the mussels… Oh, and for all of you fashionistas, the boutique there is to die for.
Party radar
Pyramid Opening Party | Amnesia | Sunday 9 June
Amnesia's in-house underground party Pyramid returns to its righteous Sunday slot this week, as it hails in the summer with a killer line-up. I mean, where else can you say you’ve seen a back-to-back between Ricardo Villalobos and Nina Kraviz?! I think that's pretty unheard of.
Line-up: (A-Z) Alan Fitzpatrick, Deborah de Luca, Lilly Palmer, Mar-T, Onyvaa, Ricardo Villalobbos B2B Nina Kraviz
Whisper from the dancefloor
At the start of the week, US pop star Jason Derulo wowed the crowds at Pacha, performing some of his most famous hits. If you happened to have missed him, fear not, as my sources tell me he's set to make another appearance on the island later this summer. Watch this space!

Tune of the week
Space Bass | Sidney Charles | You&Me | 31 May
A debut release from House music mainstay Sidney Charles on one of the most talked about and coveted labels of the moment, Josh Baker's You&Me.
The track lives up to its name with a moody yet groovy bassline, and if you're an avid TikTok user with a similar algorithm to me, you've most likely already heard it doing the rounds.
This year alone, Sidney Charles has released tracks on Moxy Muzik and Solid Grooves. You can catch him in Ibiza this summer at Paradise at Amnesia (17 July) and Eastenderz at Cova Santa (27 August), while Josh is hosting a label showcase also at Cova Santa on 29 August.
