This past Tuesday, I made the call to skip our weekly meeting at theHUB, citing extraordinary factors. I let the team know I'd be spending the night in the company of The Martinez Brothers at Hï Ibiza for their closing party - and it was a decision that paid for itself.
It only feels like just yesterday, I was eagerly anticipating the opening party. Time really does fly when you're having fun.
After pre-drinks at Baloo, I headed down to Hï Ibiza to meet up with the girls. Arriving around midnight, it was straight to The Theatre to catch AJ Christou warming things up, before slipping into the Wild Corner where Jesse Calosso and Jean Pierre were going back-to-back.
The vibes were pumping as they played their signature rolling Tech House beats. Here, I managed to reconnect with some pals I hadn't bumped into since last summer.
Back in The Theatre, Chris Stussy had the room in a frenzy, spinning his trademark tracks alongside some unreleased gems. With just enough space to weave my way through the throbbing crowd, I muscled right to the front to get into the groove.
The stand-out moment of the night came when he dropped a special edit of Jocelyn Brown's Somebody Else's Guy. Phones immediately went up to capture the moment, mine included (guilty as charged), as I knew I needed this ID.

I stayed for the beginning of The Bros' set, but made a tactical early exit to get some shut eye, as I managed to wangle myself onto the guest list for the official villa after party the next day. Say no more.
