HE.SHE THEY. is the party where everyone is encouraged to bring their most vibrant and authentic self to. This invitation extends not only the dancefloor, but the DJ booth and the dance podiums, where everyone can let loose however they please.
Visibility is everything and this is exactly the reflection the crowd mirrored back on Tuesday night in Amnesia's Main Room.
The track responsible for a capture-worthy moment came from Mall Grab's back-to-back set with Effy and their throwdown of Armand Van Helden's classic banger You Don't Know Me.
Empowering stage dancers cut shapes with full enthusiasm in front of the booth, the track prompted the now bouncing room to raise their energy.
Lyrically, Armand Van Helden’s defining '90s record evokes a combative retaliation towards pre-made judgements about anybody without rhyme or reason.
"You don't even know me, you say that I'm not living right, you don't understand me, so why do you judge my life?"
This is the defining mantra on which HE.SHE.THEY. is built. And, as I'm sure you need no schooling on, it also happens to be the entire foundation of dance music culture.
With full attention commanded by Mall Grab and Effy not even 20 minutes into their set, they then had the entire room to play with. Creating a core moment to the night that saw the diverse line-up of Kimii, Sally C and Elisa Elisa all raving under one roof.
HE.SHE.THEY. continues to reign across the final weeks in Amnesia's Main Room adjacent to The Masquerade by Claptone. Taking charge every Tuesday until 17 September.
