After hitting London, Italy and mainland Spain, Michael Bibi finally brought his One Life celebration to Ibiza for the conclusion of the 2024 tour at Ushuaïa - and it was nothing short of epic. It made perfect sense for him to end things here on his second home of Ibiza.
He holds the island in dear regard. Time spent here during his recovery definitely made a positive contribution to his mental well-being.
The party started strongly with supporting sets from Salome Le Chat, Josh Baker and a smooth handover from Chris Stussy (pictured below), where he ended on a track that he specifically made for the day called One Life. How cool is that?
Bibi then hit the decks for two and a half hours filled with jaw-dropping moments.
Embracing his journey, Bibi stepped up wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with a QR code that linked to a blood donation website supporting cancer patients. No flashy designer stuff, just a reminder of what really matters; a message that resonated with the crowd.
The music didn’t disappoint either, with Bibi dropping all his classics including Lemonade, Different Side and Sungazing. The latter unreleased track really got the crowd in their feels. Further proof on the healing power of music.
As usual, Bibi’s nearest and dearest were right there alongside him: his girlfriend and parents have been at every One Life.
His mum, who went viral at Coachella earlier this year for wearing heart-shaped sunglasses and throwing up heart hands to the crowd, was back at it again, keeping the vibe wholesome and reminding us of the important things in life.
The night got even crazier when Bibi's dad jumped on stage with a guitar with an ensemble brass section.
Lyrics from his tracks flashed across the massive screen while the CO2 cannons blasted the crowd and pyrotechnics lit up the night sky, turning the whole show into a full-blown spectacle.
To wrap it all up, Bibi ended his set with Paul Johnson's 1999 classic Get Get Down, which definitely surpassed the 23:00 curfew - not that anybody was complaining.
The vibe was electric and the ending even more emotional than expected. This was more than just a party; it was a reminder to embrace every moment. Music heals all.
