Adlib Runway 2018 - haute couture, Ibiza style

The best of Ibiza fashion by acclaimed designers marked Adlib Runway 2018

A celebration last week of some acclaimed designers marked the last night of the 47th edition of Adlib Runway, showcasing some spectacular Ibiza-influenced fashion. Hundreds of people gathered at Marina Botafoch; with a 'the show must go on' attitude, even a bit of rain could not stop this fabulous event.

Actress, presenter and godmother of the Adlib fashion house, Cayetana Guillén Cuervo hosted the ceremony. Speaking with great passion, she praised the efforts of Marta Diaz, the local minister of industry, saying "she has taken to this it as if it were the most important thing in her life".

The top model Toya Montoya shows off a magnificent gown

Adlib Runway included the presence of models of international status: top international model Toya Montoya; Miss World 2015, Mireia Lalaguna and other fashionistas such as Krys Pasiecznik, Mireia Canalda, and the Ibizan, Ana Vide.

Piluca Bayarri was the first designer to showcase her latest creations, a selection of beachwear fashions full of colourful summer styles, floral prints and frills. All this started the first rounds of applause from a fashionable and dressed-to-impress audience.

The models sauntered onto the catwalk to the rhythm of ‘One Kiss' by Dua Lipa and Calvin Harris a fitting tune to help Piluca celebrate her incredible 35 years in the industry.

A hand-crafted, layered crochet empire dress, paired with a very cute white ruffle jacket appeared to be one of the most applauded by the crowd, again modelled by the wonderful Toya Montoya.

Tony's latest designs merge the Adlib philosophy with that of the theme of new urban tribes, featuring feathered headbands and dresses with glittered shoulder pads to add some street style.

Beatrice San Francisco's casual and sensual collection

BSF Man and Beatrice San Francisco offered some exciting styles for summer menswear and womenswear. Sweeping down the catwalk in pairs, the models sported a range of cotton materials with traditional natural tones and as well more vibrant summer colours.

Rebeca Brown storms down the catwalk with an incredible performance

The showcase of Virgina Vald's designs began with a powerful performance from Rebeca Brown. The crowd endured the rain and showed massive support for the event as Rebeca strutted her stuff wearing a tasselled playsuit made by the designer. She was surrounded by models wearing embroidered angel wings and over the knee lace up sandals.

Virginia also presented a range of glamorous evening attire and ballgowns styled with twinkling tiaras and crowns. Still keeping in with the Adlib look, more white lace was on display.

World Family Ibiza also featured as one of the most powerful Adlib fashion brands. The designs feature colourful clothes of ethnic style made with floaty fabrics.

In the menswear, Vintage Ibiza models walked on with traditional white hippy-chic trousers and casual white open crocheted shirts. The models displayed a more tailored, yet relaxed side of Adlib with stand-out silk waistcoats and looser fitting trousers.
