Activities to keep you fit in June

Summer is coming, so it's time to get to work on that beach body.

It's June, the weather is finally gorgeous and now is a perfect time to get out and be active in Ibiza. We have an amazing choice of sports and activities to keep you fit while enjoying the wonderful scenery and delightful land and marine habitats of the island.

So, whether on two feet or four, on the water or under it, we have something to offer everyone. Let's get out there!

Efoil and Flyboard

Naturally, now that the water temperature in the seas around Ibiza is optimal, you’ll be itching to get out and enjoy the white island from the sea. Surfing by efoil is a uniquely exciting way to traverse the waters and discover the coast. Silent and eco-friendly, it’s a brand-new maritime activity you’re sure to enjoy. Best of all, you can do it in a private group of up to three people, making it ideal for fun-loving families or a small group of intrepid friends.

Another water sport that will challenge your balance is flyboarding. Take a one-hour lesson under the guidance of a professional instructor and you’ll soon be skimming across Ibiza’s turquoise waters.

Golf

June is the ideal month to get up early and get out onto the course for a round of golf. The days are long, the air is cool and the walk along one of the scenic Ibiza Golf courses is a pleasure in itself. Finish off your challenging round with a long, lazy lunch, in the delightful Hoyo 19 Restaurant, and you will be ready for a very well-deserved siesta. Book a round of 9 or 18 holes, or even treat yourself to the full VIP experience, here.

Scuba diving

June is an excellent month for exploring beneath the waves, especially as our waters are absolutely crystal-clear right now. Scuba Ibiza Diving Centre, in Marina Botafoc, is up and running for the season, with classes for both beginners and experienced divers. The experienced Scuba Ibiza instructors will know all of the best spots to take you right now.

Stand Up Paddle

Now that the Mediterranean is settling into its mid-summer calm, it's the perfect time to explore the rugged Ibizan coastline, while working on your core strength and balance. An ideal, safe activity for families and friends, paddle surfing has exploded over recent years and its popularity continues to grow here on Ibiza. SUP Paradise, San Antonio and Paddle Surf Centre, Cala Vadella are both back on the water now, offering excursions for small groups, with excellent guidance and safety. Kayak/canoe

Over on the east coast, at Es Figueral, Kayak Ibiza offers traditional kayaks and stand-up paddle boards, perfect for cruising the pristine waters of the Tagomago Island natural marine reserve. This beautiful stretch of coastline can be best enjoyed by guided snorkelling or kayak trips on board Kayak Ibiza's craft which are available all year round. They even offer private excursions if you are a group of friends or a big family. See all the options here.

CYCLING

Cycling is, of course, a great way to work out and see the island, but the early summer heat on Ibiza means it’s not for everyone. Sometimes you need a little help from technology, and that’s where e-Bikes comes in. E-Biking brings you in touch with the island’s natural surroundings while doing exercise and exploring. Choose between a guided excursion with Ibiza Outdoors or head out on a self-guided tour with Hasha Ibiza. So, don’t refrain, let the e-bike take the strain!

Running/Jogging

If you want to get out and explore the island on foot but don't know your way around or are experienced but just want some company on the road, Running Ibiza offers that's tailored to you, for any distance up to 20 km. You can run along coastline, in the countryside, up and down hills or on the flat - all the time learning about great points of interest and local landmarks.

Walking/Hiking

Ibiza is a beautiful island to explore on foot, with a good network of trails suitable for groups of all levels. Using walking apps is all well and good, but if you really want to discover the top beauty spots and learn about Ibiza’s flora and fauna en route, you can’t beat using the services of someone with expert knowledge of the island. Check out our selection to see some cool options for hiking, whether it’s in a private group or with others, by day (early morning or sunset) or by night.

Acrobosc

Ibiza is a fantastic place for families with all sorts of fun activities. One sure winner is Acrobosc, Ibiza's one and only zipline centre. Well-shaded and welcoming, it has different levels to match the age/ability of your child. It's so much fun, you might even want to give it a go yourself!

YOGA

With a choice between state-of-the-art indoor facilities and unbeatable natural locations, drop-in classes and fully-fledged courses, and plenty of expert instructors, Ibiza is a yogi’s paradise. We have selected yoga classes all over the island,  so you can find the closest to your accommodation.

Finally, wherever you are on Ibiza, you’re not far from the sea and, thus, from any one of its amazing boat trips. Many of these trips offer the opportunity to swim and snorkel: just remember to pack sun cream!
