Things to do this month on Ibiza | June 2022

The beginning of summer and one of Spain's most iconic celebrations happen in June.

June is here: let the summer begin! As the clubbing season picks up steam this month, there are also plenty of cultural activities going on in Ibiza. Here is our pick of the best.

Formentera Jazz Festival

June 2-5

Celebrated at locations around the island over the course of four days, this year’s eclectic edition of the Formentera Jazz Festival includes live performances by local and international artists, jam sessions. DJ sets, activities and workshops. A must for jazz aficionados everywhere! Entrance is free.

Lust for Laughs

3 June

After a side-splitting return in May, Lust For Laughs, the stand-up comedy night held at Pikes Ibiza, just outside San Antonio, is back for its monthly dose of risqué humour.

This month the show is headlined by the hilarious Tamar Kattan from the USA, so come down with your friends for laughs, the chance to heckle and drinks. You can reserve your seats here.

The Cure for the Summertime Blues!

6-9 June

The hugely popular Blues Festival is back for its third edition. This year it includes live performances, a movie and a blues guitar masterclass, all in the beautiful town of San José. The event closes with a huge jam session that’s sure to bring the roof down!

JOIN THE PARTY, FEEL THE PRIDE

June 10-18

Celebrate diversity, tolerance and freedom Ibiza style at Ibiza Gay Pride, which returns this month. This year’s edition, featuring parties, shows, theatre, cinema and workshops, will take place at venues across the island, including the massive diversity celebration on 11 June on San Antonio beach.

Pride culminates in a big, colourful street parade in Ibiza Town for gay rights on 20 June.

ADLIB FASHION SHOW

11 June

Fashionistas take note: Ibiza's famous Adlib Fashion Show (now in its 51st edition) showcasing the creations of established and up-and-coming designers is back this month. Check out the Adlib Ibiza Runway located in the port to see some uniquely Ibiza-inspired fashion.

CINEMA BENEATH THE STARS

15 June

Enjoy a night of movie-watching under the stars! Cinema Paradiso, Ibiza's original outdoor cinema, is back for another season at stunning venues around the island. Kicking off this season at Amante Beach Club with Rain Man, this treat for film-lovers screens everything from cult films and classics to recent blockbusters (all films are shown in the original language with subtitles).

As it’s very popular, we recommend your purchase your tickets online in advance.

All Day I Dream parties @Cova Santa

16 June

Thursday nights at Cova Santa, the island's original 'Gastroclub', will see the return of Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream parties, starting on 16 June. Characterised by their dreamy soundscape, distinctive decor and genial vibe, these are parties you won't want to miss!

Other noteworthy clubbing events this month include the first party of the year for Solomun at Destino on Friday 10 June and, on Tuesday 21 June, the return of much-missed Craig David's TS5 pool party to Ibiza Rocks Hotel in San Antonio.

MIDSUMMER HIJINKS

23 June

The summer solstice is celebrated on the Night of San Juan, 23 June. On Ibiza, festivities occur in several locations around the island. Without a doubt, though, the best place to witness this centuries-old tradition is the town of San Juan, in the north of Ibiza, where you can revel in a night of fire, folklore and festivities like no other.

Come along and get in touch with your inner pagan!

Las Dalias Night Market

Every Sunday, Monday & Tuesday evening from 1 June

Night markets become more popular every year and Las Dalias Night Market in San Carlos is the biggest and longest established. It’s a great place to shop for handicrafts, jewellery, artwork and more, well away from the heat and crowds of the daytime. On most evenings, there’s live music accompaniment, too.

After shopping, why not make a full night of it and head on inside to Akasha, for a dance with the cool northern crowd?
