From jazz to art installations and beer festivals, September is going to be an exciting month here on Ibiza.

Although the summer is slowly drawing to a close, the excitement of the events on the island still remains in full swing. September looks to be a jam-packed month here on the White Isle. From the first of the season's closing parties to Ibiza's Jazz Festival and even a Keith Haring art exhibition, there's something for everyone. Here are few suggestions of what you could get up to this September.

Have a tipple or two at the Ibiza Beer Festival

All aboard! Calling all beer adorers to be in their element for an entire weekend at Ibiza's very own beer festival. Taking place from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 September, this weekend will be the perfect time to sample more than 150 brands of beer from around the world. Taking place in Ibiza Town's Fairground and open to the general public, you will be getting more than beer, with live music, food stalls and even activities for children.

Watch a movie under the stars

Maybe you've had a hectic summer, but even if it has been a chilled one, here is something different to do. The Cinema Paradiso crew bring you the outdoor cinema experiences in numerous locations across the White Isle. This month they have a number of screenings, including favourite classics such as Goodfellas, The Shining and Hunt For The Wilderpeople. Screenings are played in their original English version with Spanish subtitles (V.O.S.E), range from free of charge to €20 and include popcorn and a drink all on a comfy lounger, all this, of course, under the stars. We cannot imagine a better way to watch a movie.

Immerse yourself into jazz

If you are on Ibiza between 6 and 9 September, a trip to the Ibiza's Jazz Festival has to be top of your list. Jazz has been a thriving part of the music scene for years. This event remains one of the island's longest standing live music events. This year marks the 29th edition, in fact. On 6 September visitors will find a free concert near the old market in Ibiza Town. Musicians join together to form the Big Band Ciutat d'Eivissa and will be playing all kinds of music, from classic tracks from the 30s and 40s, funk and flamenco style music.

The main event of the festival is held in the Santa Lucia Bastion, also in the old town. Entry is €12 and shows begin each evening throughout the weekend from 21:30. The festival will see different kinds of jazz, with musicians from across Europe paying a visit.

We have more than a feeling that the Afterlife closing party on Thursday 28 September will be one to remember. With knowledge of a few surprises in store, you will have to keep your eyes and ears open as we cannot reveal anything more just yet. With three rooms opening instead of two at Privilege, we think that this party may very well be one of the highlights of the closings.
