Huge firework display at Figueretas this weekend

This Friday August 15th Ibiza wraps up its annual celebration of its two patron saints, Santa María and Sant Ciriac with a huge firework finale!.

A quick heads up, Ibiza lovers. If you missed the fantastic fireworks display for the celebrations of San Juan (St. John) back in June, then here's your chance to catch this impressive spectacular again.

This time in honour of patron saints Santa Maria and San Ciriac, the display will begin at midnight, this Friday, August 15th and can be seen best from Figueretas. Just head down to the beach at around 11.30pm and follow the crowds! The fireworks mark the end of Ibiza's annual 'Fiestas de la Tierra' (The local festival) which started back on August 5th.

The event, which happens every year, attracts thousands of spectators and this year's display, dubbed ‘Gran Castillo de Focs Artificals' (Great Castle of Artificial Fires) sounds like it's going to be an impressive one. It's also a public holiday (Assumption of the Virgin) so expect lots of Spanish families and a fabulous atmosphere.

The fiery extravaganza, put together by some of Spain's most accomplished pyrotechnics experts really is a stunning show, we'll definitely be visiting on Friday, see you there!
