The village of Jesús, near Ibiza town, celebrates its yearly fiesta in honour of its patron saint with a wide programme of activities from 24 August to 17 October.
The big day is 8 September, when a traditional mass, a procession, traditional dances, an exhibition of old motorbikes, a parade of carts, children's games, a concert by the Municipal Band of Music and live performances with a tribute to Julio Iglesias, performed by a top Julio Iglesias impersonator. But already in the weeks surrounding this day, Jesús is celebrating with lots of fun and activities.
Among the highlights for this year:
- Saturday 31 August: From 18:30, popular party and traditional grape treading followed by folk dances.
- From 1 to 8 September: every day from 18:00, expect Food & Trucks and live music at the plaza.
- Wednesday 4 September: Big Flower Power Party together with Pacha celebrations.
- Thursday 5 September: From 18:00, children's party with inflatables.
- Friday 6 September: 18:30 - cleaning and racking of the wine.
- Friday 8 September: the town of Jesús' big day, all day.
- Sunday 29 September: From 11:00, X Infant Gymkhana by bicycle.
- Thursday 17 October: At 18:00, guided walk under the full moon. Meeting point at the church.
