Easter Processions 2025

An emotionally charged religious ceremony.

Every day from 11 April 2025 until 20 April 2025
Where: Ibiza Town (Eivissa)

Easter is the most important religious festival in Catholic Spain. There are large processions where the faithful carry statues of Jesus and patron saints on beautifully decorated platforms through the streets, accompanied by the masked and hooded devotees of the brotherhoods. Solemn music and torches add to the atmosphere.

In Ibiza Town, there are several processions which slowly wind their way through the cobbled streets of the fortified old town Dalt Vila, creating a fascinating, slightly eerie atmosphere.

In Santa Eulalia, you can see living "Stations of the Cross" and other processions in the streets of the town and on the church hill Puig d'en Missa.

The main processions are carried out on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday, but there are also some already on the weekend before. Furthermore, masses and other religious ceremonies are held.

Other villages such as Puig d'en Valls, San Miguel, San Mateo and Sant Jordi also organise masses and small processions.
