Restaurant Sa Caleta is a highly popular seafood restaurant, nestled between the ochre cliffs and the blue sea of the peaceful beach of Sa Caleta. The area is believed to be the site of Ibiza's oldest settlement and this restaurant, run by the same family for over 30 years, preserves the finest traditions of Ibizan cuisine.
Off the beaten track, yet easy to find, the restaurant is equally popular with locals and tourists alike and open all year round. You can choose to dine in the atmosphericly rustic and cosy interior, the sunny terrace, or in the romantic "jardin", under the canopy of the twisted Juniper trees.
The menu consists of simple, wholesome fare; bountiful rice dishes and stews, an abundance of seafood and locally-caught grilled fish. Many of the recipes have been handed down for generations, only using herbs and vegetables sourced from the surrounding countryside.
For a true flavour of Ibiza, round off your meal with another island tradition, believed to have been invented by the restaurant's ancestors, Café Caleta - an intoxicating coffee, made with brandy, cinnamon, citrus zest and sugar.
