In the building that used to house the Nautical Club of Ibiza Town, located close to where the ferries depart for Formentera, El Náutico is an exciting new culinary venture. At its helm is Barcelona-born Chef Pau Barba and his aim is to offer diners a restaurant that celebrates the essence of Mediterranean cuisine, highlighting high-quality, locally sourced produce.
The menu caters to a variety of tastes, featuring dishes like refreshing gazpacho and traditional Ibizan salad in the summer, as well as more refined offerings such as grilled lobster and scampi, sourced directly from local fishermen. The restaurant's close ties to local suppliers ensure that every dish is made with fresh ingredients, Km0 wherever possible.
El Náutico has two sections, an inside restaurant and a large outside terrace. It features three grills: one for meat, one for fish, and another for vegetables; diners can expect to enjoy oven-baked and grilled fish, typical rice dishes, and the traditional bullit de peix, all at very reasonable prices.
Thanks to its prime portside location, El Náutico offers more than just a meal - it provides a relaxed setting where patrons can savour the true taste of the Mediterranean while enjoying views of the bustling harbour in the company of friends and family.
And when it comes to catering to the little ones, El Nautico has a dedicated space specially designed for them to have fun in a safe environment where they can play to their hearts’ content. Open on Saturdays and Sundays from 13:00 to 17:00.
This unpretentious, welcoming space is designed for both locals and visitors seeking a genuine culinary experience that captures the spirit of the island. Residents will be happy to learn it is open year-round.
