Sankeys East ushers in its second opening party

The club continues to make an impact on the Big Smoke with its second opening party this weekend.

Sankeys is bringing big, big things to the UK this year, as it launches a nationwide campaign to open multiple venues across the country. But before then we've got the Sankeys East official opening kicking off this month.

And never ones to do things by halves, East London has bagged not one, but two opening parties. The first took place last weekend, with Bontan, Will Taylor and Lee Walker providing the sonic onslaughts, but this Saturday 4 February, Part II will mop up from where the first instalment left us, with Martinez, Silvie Loto and The Mistaa on the billing.

Looking further forward into the club's all-important first chapter, and it's locked in three more parties to take you through to March. Saturday 11 February looks back to the origins of UK Garage, with Garage 88/89 drip-feeding you sounds from Groove Chronicles, Sunship and CC83. Tribal Sessions – one of the UK's most iconic residencies and now an Ibiza favourite – gets a turn on Saturday 18 February, with Josh Wink, Terry Francis, GW Harrison and Jozef K. And finally, on Saturday 25 February, Dance 88/89 will be bringing in a dosage of anarchic raving with a line-up that will be confirmed soon.

So, it's clear that Sankeys is intent on nodding to the past while embracing the present, and that can only hammer home just how passionate this brand is about the UK's enduring relationship with dance music and clubbing.

Huge support flew in immediately for the new London club, and after early bird tickets for February sold out, a second round is up for grabs today. To get involved in the sweat-inducing action, head to the Sankeys East website. Because it's pay day. And you deserve it.
