Get ready for the most outrageous obstacle course Ibiza has ever seen! The Red Bull Ibiza Royale is set to take over the historic quarter of Ibiza Town—Dalt Vila—on 13 April 2025, bringing a thrilling mix of competition, adventure, and sheer madness to the island's capital.
Ibiza continues to evolve as a top sports and fitness destination, and this spring sees it level up with the arrival of a unique challenge: the Red Bull Ibiza Royale obstacle race.
This high-energy event will see 200 mixed-gender teams from 50 countries take on the cobbles in an epic four-day contest. Competitors will battle their way through mind-bending obstacles designed to test speed, strength, balance, and reaction - all against the breathtaking backdrop of Ibiza's UNESCO-listed Old Town. Spectators can expect daring climbs, unexpected tumbles, and plenty of laughs along the way!
The heats
The qualifying rounds will take place in the resort of Playa d'en Bossa from 7–9 April.
The Grand Final showdown
The best of the best will make it to the Grand Final on 13 April, where spectators can cheer them on as they take on never-before-seen obstacles designed by Red Bull athletes and top creators from the worlds of esports, X Games, HYROX, and emerging sports like parkour. But this is about more than just brute force—strategy, teamwork, and a solid sense of humour will be just as vital for making it across the finish line!
As one of the event's organisers put it:
“This is more of an experience than a hardcore competition. There's a competitive element, sure, but it's also about teamwork, surprises, and having a blast.”

How to enter
Fancy your shot at the ultimate obstacle showdown? Applications via www.redbullibizaroyale.com are now open, and anyone over 18 can apply. The selection process involves completing a qualifying challenge game (either online or at a local qualifier) and submitting a short video explaining why your team deserves a spot. The deadline to apply is 14 March 2025. At the time of publication, around 3,000 hopefuls have already signed up for what promises to be one of Ibiza's standout events of the year.
This high-energy event was presented on Wednesday morning by Danny Sanz, General Director of the event's organising team; Danny León, professional skater and one of the Red Bull athletes taking part; Nil Ojeda, popular content creator and designer of one of the course's obstacles; and Catiana Fuster, representing Ibiza Town Council.
