Ibiza Classics & Heritage Orchestra tickets on sale

The sequel to Radio 1's Ibiza Prom comes back bigger in 2016 and tickets will go fast.

You'd maybe seen a mate back at an after party showing off by knocking out an old school house number or two on the keyboard. But never had you seen musical instruments take on the dance genre quite like it did last summer at BBC Radio 1's Ibiza Prom when Pete Tong introduced the rave machine to a live classical orchestra. The occasion was in homage to BBC Radio 1's 20-year relationship with Ibiza and to celebrate, the Royal Albert Hall was turned into the euphoric madness of Ibiza. To say it was spectacularly emotional is an understatement; you wouldn't have been surprised to hear that someone had passed out with an extreme case of goosebumps. It is a prime example of how music pushes you to tears of elation. It literally became the best club ever.

If you haven't being able to stop watching it on YouTube, desperate for a repeat of the event, you're in luck because it's happening again at the end of 2016 with Pete Tong Presents Ibiza Classics. The don of dance knows we need more of it in our lives and no doubt, he can't wait to do it again with an encore. Pre-sale tickets sold out fast, but you're getting another chance with general ticket sales released.

December 1st is the date that Ibiza Classics will be touching down at London's O2 Arena with Tong joined being by the 60-piece Heritage Orchestra led by conductor Jules Buckley.

Special guests for this year are still to be announced. Last year, singing guests included John Newman and Ella Eyre and they did a stellar job, so expect high profile talents to breathe air into another round of what we normally hear in the superclubs.

Compared to the Royal Albert Hall, which seats less than 2,300, London's O2 Arena has a 20,000 capacity, so just imagine the kind of atmosphere this gig will have. Already the hairs are on end. Do not make the mistake of missing out on this.
