Born Electric

This little club on Brighton's seafront has a well-earned reputation for attracting some of the industry's finest DJs to the South coast, and this New Year's Eve is no different. British talent James Zabiela will be bringing his Born Electric label to Audio to see in the New Year, a chance to see the Southampton boy in a much more intimate setting than his We Love sets at Space. Joining him will be soulful house duo Mairbou State and Pedestrian, who released his second EP on Zabiela's imprint, Drop Bear, earlier this year. All this, plus a lovely view of the beach to greet you when you leave - think Bora after Sankeys, only slightly (*severely) colder.

Bristol promoter In:Motion has two events lined up to see in 2015, but it's their New Year's Day plans that have really got us excited. Taking over Motion Skate Park, they've got one of the most impressive line-ups we've seen yet, headed up by your newly crowned favourite DJ of the year, Dixon. Joining the Resident Advisor poll winner will be the likes of Magda, George FitzGerald and Route 94, ensuring you start your year as you mean to go on: with great music, obviously.

Can't decide between partying on NYE or NYD? Well why settle with just one? Half Baked, the record label famed for its Sunday daytime parties, is throwing a mammoth 18 hour, ‘flower power' themed celebration. Half Baked will be taking over a warehouse in Hackney Wick for the countdown, with the likes of Margaret Dygas, Le Loup and Greg Brockmann behind the decks, before heading over to Number 90 Bar to do what they do best and party on through the day. For those of you missing those Tuesday nights in Pacha dressed in your grooviest hippy gear, this one's for you.

If you're pining after the festival season, there's no need to wait until summer - just get yourself to Birmingham on New Year's Day for the mammoth Day One Festival. In its second year, the 13 hour celebration sees thousands of music lovers descend on the city, taking over an entire street, a carpark and two huge warehouses – easily making this the biggest event on our list. Top of the bill they've got American house phenomenon MK, and joining him will be DC10 residents Davide Squillace and Matthias Tanzmann, Fuse's Seb Zito and Rossko, as well as Huxley, Wave & Odyssey and DeWalta. Roll on 2015!
