IMS takes the talk to Singapore

The electronic music discussion heads to Singapore.

The International Music Summit is an annual conference that takes place on Ibiza to aid the discussion and debate of the dance music scene as it is today to help shape it for the future. The summit brings together many of the leaders and tastemakers of the world of electronic music from artists, labels, festivals, media platforms, industry leaders and fans alike, enabling the debate in a productive manner... after all, we all want to see the best for the scene we all grew up in and continue to support whether it be on the dancefloor, in the studio or at the office.

The IMS continues to expand and develop with innovation in discussion a key aspect of each conference. IMS Engage was the inaugural conference outside of Ibiza, taking place in April of this year and featured some great discussion between the likes of Sean Coombs/Diddy/P Diddy, Guy gerber, Giorgio Moroder, Moby, Hans Zimmer and plenty more besides.

The network takes a step further afield in December as the Asian-Pacific region is targeted for development with the dance music scene already pretty developed in many areas. Singapore is the city/country of choice and will host the conference on 11th December in partnership with Pioneer and W Hotels.

“An intense networking environment with the glamour and glitz of my favourite party island of Ibiza, but with a Back to Business ethos and leading into the official Ibiza opening party weekend.” - Pete Tong

“This event has been created to unite the Asia-Pacific industry but also to educate and entertain delegates from around the world about this incredible frontier which is finally opening up in a huge way to electronic music culture. We've positioned ourselves the day before the ZoukOut to help further the focus on this festival into a powerful business forum, and Zouk's founder Lincoln Cheng has been a guiding light for all the IMS partners for the last 20 years. It is a huge honour for us to bring IMS to Asia-Pacific and to help galvanise this region for the future of the genre we know and love” - Ben Turner

The summit will be hosted by BBC Radio 1's Pete Tong, a founding partner of the IMS, at a time when Singapore will already be a focus of the dance music community as one of the world's most famous clubs - Zouk - is based there and celebrates the ZoukOut Weekend. So expect many of the world's leading dance music players to be in attendance during the 9 hour IMS event.

Tickets to the event, which also include a buffet lunch and cocktail event post event plus an official after-party at Attica with Paul Oakenfold – one of the first international names to open up the region - are priced at;
