Gatecrasher is the new kid on the block, having taken over the lease on the club formerly known as Eden and overseeing the final touches in the clubs refurbishment. Eden was a club that was slipping towards a dark place a few seasons ago, and since then it has been on a journey to make the club cool, relevant and modern again.
Millions of euros have been spend on the inside of the venue - a brand new soundsystem from VOID which is one of the best on the island in terms of sound and styling, a new and improved layout, great new lighting setup and a general update and refurbishment of the decoration. All in all, Gatecrasher now looks and sounds fantastic.
Most of the residencies at Gatecrasher have been confirmed now, with Créche on Tuesday, Liverpool's Bedlam on Wednesday, Speakerbox on Thursday and Kisstory on Saturday. We can now let you in on the plans the club have for Friday and Sunday nights, as we have them.
Fridays will be named 'El Carnaval' and will be centred around the EDM and electro sound. Artists such as AN21, Max Vangelli, Fedde Le Grand, Danny Avila, Thomas Gold and Michael Woods. The party kicks off on Friday 20th June and runs until their closing party on 19th September.
Sundays are still yet to be fully announced, however you can expect some prime time EDM and trance. For now we can reveal three parties, on Sunday 3rd August, 7th September and 14th September. Afrojack and Showtek are the big names to take note of... but expect plenty more on the clubs Sunday plans soon.
