Spanish Federation Backs Ibiza Rugby 10's

Spanish Rugby Federation confirms support of inaugural Ibiza Rugby 10's - described as 'full contact, not for the faint hearted' which is ok as Ibiza isn't known as faint of anything.

In the latest developments of the forthcoming RugbySpy Ibiza 10's event being held at Can Misses, 08th June 2013, the Spanish Rugby Federation have confirmed their support of the event and indeed are looking to send representatives to the event.

Eight international teams will be playing and organisers RugbySpy have also arranged a children's ‘Come and Try' day (one for your diaries, mums and dads)

It's quite a feat to try and judge the most popular sports in the World – does one look at the number of participants (although big team sports may fair better than say, table tennis), or perhaps by the number of times a sport is searched online? However, regardless of method, it is interesting to note that Rugby features highly on these differently structured lists.

One of the many things that Rugby is acknowledged for is uniting people Worldwide (just look at the figures for the Rugby World Cup! Millions watched online and stat's indicate the female audience has increased by a whopping 45% between 2007 – 2011)

Ibiza is the host nation for this inaugural event, with Ibiza Club de Rugby fielding their own team. The RFU (Rugby Football Union - Governing body for Rugby Union, UK) describes Rugby 10's as “full contact so it isn't for the faint hearted”.

No worries there – Ibiza isn't known for being faint of heart and we think our team will do us proud.
