Closing party weekend heralds the start of a quieter month in Ibiza when the island takes on a more laid back look. After Privilege, Space and Amnesia close their doors this weekend there's still plenty to do – we're still enjoying temperatures in the high 20's so the beach and sea are still top of the list for holidaymakers.
Over in Santa Eulalia there's a yacht regatta this weekend and fitness fanatics will enjoy the 10th annual Cycle Tour of Ibiza on the 7th to 9th of the month which unites hundreds of cyclists on an organised tour of the lanes of the island as well as lots of social events.
Ibiza town's Vara de Rey square hosts the annual Autumn craft fair where some unusual souvenirs and presents can be found. There's more retail therapy available around the island's many markets during the month.
One event in October which typifies rural life in Ibiza is the Fira de Bestiar (Animal Fair) held in Santa Gertrudis at the end of the month which attracts tens of thousands of people over the days its held. We don't have details yet, but the penultimate weekend is the usual date of the fair which features agricultural animals (and products) born, bred, raised and ahem, killed on the island.
As always, details of what's on the Ibiza Agenda can be found in our events calendar.
