Landing in October, Honey Dijon is the latest selector assigned to mix K7 Records' legendary DJ-Kicks series.
The compilation announcement comes as the countdown is well underway for Honey Dijon presents Cozy, which begins a four-week residency on Thursdays at Club Chinois.
Commencing 5 September, Cozy is the start of a busy third-quarter of 2024 for the scene matriarch.
Amongst a tracklist that honours club-orientated House music and flexes Honey Dijon's crate-digging capabilities, the mix features her upcoming new single Finding My Way featuring Ben Westbeech. The track is sure to get a spin at Club Chinois over the next four weeks.
Musical works from Mr. G, Waajeed and Art Of Tones also stand out in the 19-track selection.
Grammy-award nominee Honey Dijon follows in a line of prestigious predecessors in the DJ-Kicks series, including Peggy Gou, Four Tet, Jayda G and fellow Club Chinois resident Kerri Chandler.
Talking of the project, Honey says "The dancefloor to me is a sacred space. I feel like I’m a facilitator of spirit through sound. Dancefloors are healing spaces, they're sexual spaces, they're joyful spaces, they’re liberating spaces.
They're places for people to discover who they are, they’re places to leave behind your worries, they’re places to celebrate with your friends, to dance, to get laid, to have fun. The dancefloor is a reflection of life and I take it very seriously."
Both digital and vinyl LP formats of Honey Dijon's DJ-Kicks entry drop on 18 October.
Until then, sample Honey Dijon's fierce selections in real-time by catching the dancefloor dame at Cozy every Thursday this month.
Bringing expressive House beats, hedonism and a touch of sex-appeal to decadent Club Chinois, Honey calls on help from hand-picked weekly guest DJs. Opening night starts with Classic Music Co.'s Luke Solomon and Suze Ljó.
