Seladoria, the party off-shoot of Dave Seaman's record label Selador, returns to Akasha at the end of the month. One of the names joining him on Friday 30 August and making her Ibiza debut is Redfreya.
Hostess of Urban Soundscapes on bloop London radio, Redfreya is an artist on the rise. In the last month alone, she's played for Anjunadeep at KOKO London and supported Dave and Steve Parry at Seladoria's recent party in Liverpool. Finally, she now also has a date on Ibiza.
Designed with the intention of getting to know her better, we've given her control of our aux lead, inviting her for a takeover of our Melodic Techno playlist. Here's a snippet of what you can expect from her musically on the night.

Redfreya had this to say about her upcoming appearance: "We have this saying amongst my colleagues, that dance music can be either eyes open or eyes closed music.
Some dance music is designed to make you feel happy and cheerful in that moment, hands in the air etc. But for me, the best nighttime club sets are a dancefloor journey 'within oneself', which leads me towards choosing 'eyes closed' type of music, often.
I am always searching for deep, complex tracks with emotive elements that help to build this journey, subtle and unusual percussive grooves that take the mind elsewhere."
