The best activities for families to do on Ibiza

A world of discovery awaits on the White Isle for adventurers both young and old.

With its climate, landscape and beautiful sea, many families flock to Ibiza to enjoy some Balearic bliss. It's a popular holiday destination for families large and small, whether you have young kids or older ones.

Once on the island, there are a wide range of activities on both land and water to keep everyone entertained.

Here is our selection of some of the best ones for you and the family to enjoy the island to the max.

MEET THE SEA

SAN ANTONIO

The Meet The Sea family boat tour makes for an exciting and educational aquatic adventure. Departing from the port of San Antonio, you'll explore the most beautiful spots of Ibiza's coastline. Children and adults will learn more about the delicate eco system and marine life surrounding the Balearic islands. During the trip you will enjoy snorkelling safaris, a healthy lunch on board, fun activities for the kids and - for the grown-ups - cocktails to toast the end of an adventurous day!

Beach hop cruise

SAN ANTONIO

Visit some of the finest beaches of San Antonio Bay and discover the surrounding islands and caves on a Beach Hop Cruise. Board your glass-bottomed boat in San Antonio and set off for a leisurely 6-hour cruise to Cala Bassa and Cala Conta beaches to splash around in the warm, shallow waters. For added fun, have a go with the water toys when the boat stops out at sea. Choose between a daytime or sunset cruise.

Slingshot Ibiza

SAN ANTONIO

There may be all sorts of thrilling activities on Ibiza and its glittering waters, but nothing can quite match the adrenaline rush of Slingshot Ibiza!  This exhilarating experience will crown your holiday as you are catapulted high over the resort of San Antonio at no less than 160 km per hour. Best of all, you can receive a video to send home to your dear ones in seconds thanks to the latest technology. There's more fun on site in the form of bumper cars and other amusing rides.

There is no minimum age although a height limit does apply: 1.10 metres, which usually is about 5-6 years old.

E-Bike Experiences

In the north

Joining one of Ibiza Outdoor’s guided e-Bike tours gives you the opportunity to see more of Ibiza, while enjoying a fun ride through breathtaking scenery. Along the way, there is plenty of time for photo stops, a swim in the sea and a refreshing drink on the beach.

Star Boats

SAN ANTONIO

Star Boats Ibiza is the perfect way to enjoy a family day sailing in the crystalline waters of the west coast of Ibiza. You'll be your own captain, and can rent these little boats either for a full day or half a day. No license is necessary. You will be fully briefed on how to drive the motor boat yourself. Even without any previous experience, you are bound to find it remarkably easy.

Kids will love the intimacy and feel the spirit of adventure as you discover picturesque bays, rugged coastlines, mysterious caves and small islands around San Antonio. Bring ice to store in the coolbox provided, some drinks and a picnic and discover the real Ibiza all by yourself.

Bam-Bu-Ku is an outdoor waterpark and restaurant designed like a tropical lagoon, offering plenty of fun activities and events for families. Located next to sister venue O Beach Ibiza, you can stroll in right from the seaside promenade that runs along the bay of San Antonio. One of Bam-Bu-Ku's biggest attractions is the FLOWRIDER, a wave machine where children and adults can ride the powerful swell of water and take surf lessons. There is also a beautiful swimming pool lined by comfortable day beds for those who prefer to relax. Enjoy lunch or early dinner and watch out for their special events and deals, with live music, DJ sets, costumed characters, and face-painting to keep children and grown-ups alike entertained.

At Aquarium Cap Blanc, natural limestone caves have been turned into a living, breathing aquarium. In several pools you can observe, close-up, much of the marine wildlife that inhabits the waters around Ibiza and Formentera. Fishes, rays, sharks, octopuses and even the occasional turtle. Here the bar and sea view just adds to this small place as an attraction.

Our tip: a fun way to get there is on the Captain Nemo boat, tickets include the entry fee to the caves and children under 7 don't pay.
