About The Masquerade
Mysterious Claptone is the oddball entertainer who has modernised the ancient tradition of the masked ball. The Masquerade is a hedonistic concept designed to disorientate the senses and facilitate escapism on the dancefloor.
This extravagant party is camp, dramatic and lavish but, most importantly, lots of fun. All these characteristics are tools for our puppet master host to pull the strings of all who enter. After three seasons at Pacha, The Masquerade returns to its original Ibizan home of Amnesia.

When?
Every Tuesday night, starting 25 June to 17 September | 23:00 to 06:00
The Masquerade had enjoyed being a staple of Saturday nights in the past three seasons, so a move to midweek is certainly a switch-up. But we're on Ibiza - every night of the week feels like the weekend here! Aside from that, time is not a concept that Claptone subscribes to.
Where?
Amnesia - one of Ibiza's most decorated clubs and a brand that wields worldwide influence.
It has two awesome, but completely different dancefloors - and both of them retain legendary status on the island. The Terraza is a clubber's paradise, rectangular in shape with a spring-like mattress of a dancefloor, that reacts to the united rhythm of those moving on it.
Meanwhile, the Main Room is darker and less symmetrical with various tiers, making it better suited to tougher, more underground music. Both are powered by recently installed KV2 audio sound systems and each has a VIP balcony overlooking the action.

Who?
Claptone's music will be familiar to most already, we're sure, but how much do we really know about the producer behind the mask? Still incognito, a cloak of mystery remains - and consciously so.
The curiosity surrounding our host adds to the magic of The Masquerade. Opulence, desire and a taste for the theatrical, all can be found in abundance. Masks hide a variety of lustful sins and you're invited to wear yours.
Strange bedfellows?
Claptone doesn't do it all by himself this summer. The perennial loner is joined by HE.SHE.THEY. from 30 July, which moves into the Main Room. At first glance, that might be considered a mismatch on paper, but scratch beneath the surface and it makes more sense.
Both have strong visual identities, each committing to a strong artistic direction. With The Masquerade's suggestive undertones and HE.SHE.THEY's sexual empowerment, they share similarities while attracting different crowds.
Lightness on the Terraza and darkness in the Main Room - but neither at the expense of fun and both promoting the values of liberation. People from different cultures and economic backgrounds joining together on the dancefloor. That is what Ibiza has always been about.

Biggest week?
3 September. Not only is Claptone joined by Lee Foss, Mambo Brothers, CASSIMM and Juliet Sikora, but hit band JVNGLE come to party, playing a DJ set. Next door in the Main Room, Chaos In the CBD and Horse Meat Disco are in town.
Music
Apart from Claptone, you can catch the biggest names in House music at The Masquerade from legends through to rising talent.
Roger Sanchez, Paul Woolford, Purple Disco Machine and Groove Armada all make appearances. The music will always remain accessible, which makes The Masquerade one of the few parties that can be appreciated by both seasoned clubbers and newbies alike.
If that's too commercial for you, then you can always sneak off to the Main Room. There, you can catch respected selectors such as Mall Grab, DJ Boring, HAAi and Dan Shake get a bit more serious.

Succumb to curiosity. Poke your head into the Main Room for HE.SHE.THEY. and see what it's all about. Just go with an open mind. This is a party which preaches and practices tolerance, acceptance and freedom, embracing individuality.
