About Brunch Electronik
Although born and based in Barcelona just over the water on the Spanish mainland, festival and pop-up outfit Brunch Electronik throws parties in various territories. In summer 2024, it finally makes the hop to the Balearics, landing at 528 Ibiza for a run of three dates over consecutive Fridays.
Wherever it goes, Brunch Electronik always chooses its locations thoughtfully. As well as multiple stages of music, the organisers also select venues with areas of shade and seating to stop and chat with your friends in a more relaxed environment.
Want to know more? We answer the big questions: when? where? who? why? and how?
When?
Friday 12 July, Friday 19 July and Friday 26 July
17:00 to 23:00
Ibiza enjoys a favourable climate from May to October, but as we come into July things are really starting to hot up - both in terms of temperature and the wealth of party options. Such great weather lends itself to outdoor partying.
Dancing in the open air is what made Ibiza's party scene legendary in the first place, but you don't need to take our word for it. Experience it for yourself and then you be the judge.
Where?
Formerly the holding pen of the legendary anthropomorphic party The Zoo Project (back when it was known as Benimussa Park/Gala Nights), 528 Ibiza is back doing what it does best. After trialling a cabaret and fine dining concept, festival-like parties have returned to its Gardens.
The sprawling outdoor estate in Benimussa Hills near Ses Païsses on the outskirts of San Antonio is operated by hospitality expert Andy McKay and his Ibiza Rocks Group. One of Ibiza's most magical locations, 528 is still in a process of evolution, with lots more to come in 2024 and beyond.
Who?
Topping the bill on 12 July are Adriatique. The duo rose to prominence as part of Solomun's Diynamic stable, but have since broken out on their own via their Siamese imprint and X party series. The second instalment is fronted by composer and Anjunadeep affiliate Ben Böhmer.
Other notable acts playing across the three parties include Monolink, Folamour and Jeremy Underground.
If you've yet to see Mr. G perform live, then you're in for a treat. He scarcely ever gets booked to play on Ibiza, but that is travesty. His dance moves are off the wall - few artist enjoy themselves more. It's refreshing to see somebody vibing with the music so much and very infectious.
There are other gems, too, such as Ibiza Global Radio head honcho Igor Marijuan and Ninja Tune's Peruvian musician Sofia Kourtesis. Khenya is another rising talent to keep your eye on.
The first two dates orbit the sound referred to as Melodic Techno or Progressive House, although you can expect Afro House, Deep House and leftfield Electronica as well. The third date will be more House music of the underground kind, much of it leaning into modern Disco.
Why?
We'll make this quick and easy. Because...
- Brunch Electronik arrives with a reputation of being one of Spain's best programmed and organised festivals, with a real attention to detail
- not far to travel for those staying or living in San Antonio or San Antonio Bay - very convenient
- free shuttle bus for ticket holders travelling via San Antonio bus station or the port in Ibiza Town, direct to the venue's front door and back again - no need to pay for taxis
- get to experience the thrill of the old Zoo Project parties and understand why they are still talked about in such glowing terms
- a festival-esque experience right here on Ibiza with a big stage and lighting, first under the sun and later under the stars
- hot food options available on-site
- these showcases elevate some of the best electronic artists on the planet to headline status, when often they'd only be a support act when playing here. See Adriatique, Ben Böhmer and Folamour get the closing set on a large stage.
