Twenty-five years ago, a legend was born of the kind we've yet to see since. Cocoon was a juggernaut. Created by legendary DJ Sven Väth, Cocoon was the first party to introduce Techno to the island, breaking the dominance of House music and ushering in a new era.
Back in 2019, Cocoon celebrated its 20th anniversary milestone. Owing to world events, it was the last time we saw the party on Ibiza... until now. 2024 is the next big landmark. A quarter of a century calls for a Cocoon reunion!
On Wednesday 25 September, Cocoon returns to Benimussa Hills on the outskirts of San Antonio for a day-to-night one-off at 528 Ibiza.
Not to get too sentimental, but in its former guise, 528 Ibiza was the site of some of Cocoon's most famous after parties. The African-themed carry ons of 2015 and 2016 are the stuff of lbizan lore, while it was also used during the big 20 year celebrations (pictured above).
After memorable dates with Solomun, Marco Carola, CAMELPHAT, ANOTR and BBC Radio 1, 528 Ibiza has been put firmly on the Ibiza clubbing map. We only expect its profile to grow over the course of the season.
As for the "after party", well, more will be revealed soon. Needless to say, those tickets in particular will prove to be very limited versus demand. Your prompt attention is advised.
