Every year, the island undergoes changes and nowhere is this more prominent than clubbing destination Playa d'en Bossa. Whether its investment in the infrastructure, shopping amenities or the arrival of new hospitality establishments, the town is in a constant cycle of improvements and upgrades.
Although it was already open the past few summers, Baloo Ibiza is one of the businesses that has modernised, diversified and introduced a new music programme for summer 2024.
Even if you've yet set foot in this hotspot, chances are you'll have already driven or walked past it numerous times.
Conveniently located by the roundabout at the gateway to the party zone that is Pd'B, Baloo Ibiza could well become your new go-to destination for a fun-filled night out. To say it has a prime location is an understatement.
Under new ownership and boasting a stunning refurbishment, Baloo Ibiza offers a nightlife experience that fires on several fronts. Whether you seek Insta-ready cocktails, light bites, expertly grilled dishes or just a lively environment to boogie in, Baloo provides it all.
With its own terrace, restaurant and intimate club, it’s the perfect venue for those nights when hitting a super-club might not be on your agenda, but you still crave an all-inclusive night out where you can dance your troubles away. There's something going on in every nook and cranny.
Baloo Terrace: a jungle oasis
Why not start your evening on the Baloo Terrace, where friendly hosts welcome you into the vibrant sanctuary? The terrace features a central round open bar adorned with swing chairs and ambient lighting, perfect for sipping cocktails while soaking up the lively atmosphere.
The decor is a feast for the eyes, with giant colourful leaves hanging from the ceiling, a rain-effect waterfall on the far wall, neon signs and motorbike seats at the second bar.
This chilled-out oasis amidst the jungle offers a tropical vibe, making it a great spot to unwind with a delicious drink from a bespoke cocktail menu. The terrace is also home to the Monkiria restaurant, which serves up snack food such as burgers, fries and nachos - ideal for casual dining as you start your night.
Carousel restaurant: grilled delights
If you enter via the grand second entrance into the Carousel restaurant (filling the vacant former site of Sissi's Asador, acquired by Baloo at the end of 2023), you'll be greeted by an enchanting setting where the magic roundabout bar takes centre stage, as well as an open flame grill restaurant.
It is here that you can indulge in delicious, freshly grilled meats and fish dishes, making the perfect alfresco spot for a more substantial, bon-vivant meal and entertainment before you dive into the night's festivities.
Baloo Magic Room: the heart of the party
The Magic Room is the venue's real gem. As the clock strikes 23:00, the dancefloor opens its doors all the way to 05:00, unveiling a clubbing wonderland. Walking in feels like discovering Narnia.
This enchanting space is where the magic happens, offering an eclectic mix of music from classic Latin to electronic, Reggaeton, and more. If you’re more into 4/4 House music beats, do not fret. Baloo has you covered with dedicated House music nights every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Check out Magic Thursdays, Sunnun and Origen.
The jungle theme continues in here, serving up a combination of lush foliage decor with zebra print flooring, leopard print seating, monkey statues coming out of the walls, wild wallpapers and plants.
In the Magic Room, you can be as boujee or casual as you like, with a choice of VIP areas to choose from. Alternatively, enter on your own accord and hit the dancefloor from the get-go. Always the best approach, in our experience.
Tickets are very reasonably priced at only €25 each and, as if that wasn't enough, they also include the first drink. Who says Ibiza has to be expensive?
