IMS rolls out full conference programme for 2024

Across three days of panels, keynotes, workshops and more, here are the hot topics.

Bringing together the world's electronic music community, International Music Summit (IMS) is readying for its return. From Wednesday 24 April to Friday 26 April, it rolls out an extensive programme for attendees to delve into. 

Switching up location for its fifteenth year, the conference will take place at the new Cala Llonga complex Hyde & Mondrian. Our friendly hosts Pete Tong and Jaguar (both pictured above) on hand again. 

Handing over the mic to founding names and frontline trailblazers, IMS opens up the floor to the hot topics facing the industry this year. With Rebuilding Our Community forming the central theme of 2024 and leading panel, here's what we have in store. 

Championing global voices, South West Asia & North Africa's influence on electronic music is celebrated and the stereotypes faced are addressed. Later, diving into the data behind Germany’s thriving dance music scene as this year's market focus.

Island friend Norman Cook AKA Fatboy Slim sits down with the team behind his Southern Fried Records imprint to share the secrets of the label's longevity: the mishaps, milestones, and everything in between. There's also a SFR500 celebration at Las Dalias on Thursday night.

Inclusive clubbing outfit HE.SHE.THEY. returns to present The Brave Space programme, which features live recordings of Resident Advisor's Exchange podcast with DJ Pierre, Juan Atkins and Smokin' Jo.

Celebrating The Godfather of House: 10 Years of The Frankie Knuckles Foundation invites attendees to honour the life of the House pioneer. In the decade since he passed, FKF has supported initiatives across music education, the LGBTQIA+ community and youth homelessness.

Not wanting to sound our own horn, but you can catch Ibiza Spotlight's own clubbing editor Stephen Hunt on Ask Me Anything: Ibiza Class of 2024 on Thursday morning, alongside representatives from Akasha, Amnesia, Club Chinois, Ibiza Rocks and Pacha Group.

Steve sits alongside Igor Marijuan, Neil Evans, Danny Whittle, Andy McKay and Jessica Capaz, while the session will be moderated by Ibiza Spotlight alumni and UNUM Festival founder, Grego O'Halloran.

Confirmed for keynote interviews, are artists of the moment Mochakk, Chloé Calliet and Sarz, two of who are set to play at IMS Grand Finale on Friday evening. That leaves only the closing special guest to be announced.

After three days of non-stop chitter-chatter, networking and putting the industry to rights, on Friday it's time for our annual venture up to the bastion Baluarte de Santa Lucía within the walled citadel of ancient Dalt Vila, in Ibiza Town.

Featuring stacked line-up of DJs and the world's party people all in one place, the swansong makes for an immense opener on the Ibiza 2024 season. Let's go.
