MARVEL AT THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
All month long
The Christmas season on Ibiza announces its arrival with festive illuminations in the island’s main towns.
The lights are already hanging, the Christmas stalls have been set up, and now all that's left is the big switch on! As the 1st December falls on a Friday, it is likely that will be the big day. But check with your local municipality for exact dates/times.
CHARITY CHRISTMAS PARTY at PACHA
17 December
Pacha loves to celebrate Christmas with all ages. So come along to this great party, organised especially for the little ones and for a great cause as all proceeds go charity. There will be a raffle, dancing, face-painting, clowns, games and a special guest!!! The entry fee is 6,00€ and includes a soft drink.
Las Dalias Christmas Market
Saturdays and Sundays
Famed for its year-round hippy market, Las Dalias - located in the charming village of San Carlos - is home to an atmospheric Christmas Market with more than 40 stalls. Do your Christmas shopping at this renowned emporium then enjoy socialising with friends over a glass of the house mulled wine!

Fun Fair in Ibiza Town
Open every day from 24 November to 14 January, the fun fair - situated in a new location on the outskirts of Ibiza Town - is a perennial favourite with children and adults alike.
Eivicadabra - The First Magic Festival in Ibiza
6 - 8 December
The cultural centre, Can Ventosa, in Ibiza Town, plays host to the island’s very first festival of magic this month. Come down with the family to marvel at magic and mystery at the hands and up the sleeves of talented international magicians. Hey presto!
A night of laughter with Corbacho @Teatro Ibiza

One-stop multicultural venue, Teatro Ibiza, is the setting for an evening of humour with the well-known Spanish comedian José Corbacho.

Trail Ibiza - three days with a marathon and other races
1-3 December
The Trail Ibiza competition offers runners of all levels the opportunity to take part in a stage race with different modalities through some of the island’s finest inland scenery.
Cycling Race Indiot 2023
6 December
Ibiza’s beautiful natural surroundings are also the backdrop for The Cycling Race Indiot 2023. Cyclists of all ages and levels of expertise will love this event, with its unique sense of community and healthy competition.
Cursa Patrimoni Eivissa 2023: Running event in Ibiza town
9 December
Celebrating Ibiza Town’s stature as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Cursa Patrimoni is a race through the city’s most emblematic areas, including Dalt Vila (the old town), the port and the promenade is a permanent fixture on the winter calendar. Come down to the island’s capital to participate or spectate at this popular event.
Nordic Walking Excursion - San Antonio
10 December
Setting off from the sports centre in the neighbourhood of Ses Païsses, just outside San Antonio, this month’s edition of the Nordic walking excursion will take hikers through the countryside around Can Bonet.
Free guided walks in Santa Eulalia
16 December
Starting at 10 am, this month’s guided walk is a coastal route. Entrance is free but places are limited, so sign up ASAP.
Nordic walking excursion - San José
17 December
Another must for keen ramblers, this month’s Nordic walk organised by San José Town Hall is a medium-difficulty one along the coast of Cala De Bou. Get there at least 30 minutes before it starts to stand a chance of securing pole position!
Guided cycle tour
17 December
As part of the Patronato de Deportes de Ibiza’s cyclo-tourism programme, this month’s 28-km guided biking tour will take in the stunning coastal scenery around Es Codolar.
Cathedral Ibiza Fun Race
31 December
The last chance to burn off excess calories in 2023, the Cathedral Ibiza Fun Race is one of the island’s most cherished festive season sporting events. Open to all, and featuring special categories for costumed groups taking part and a raffle, this fun activity is a great way to say farewell to the year.
For the winners, Christmas lots are donated by different shops.

this month's offering will be Fresa y chocolate (Strawberry and Chocolate). After the screening, there will be an informal discussion of the movie. Best of all, admission is free.
LOCAL FIESTAS
Wine festival in San Mateo
9 December
Each year in mid-December, the tiny village of San Mateo hosts the Festa des Vi Pagès (country wine festival). On top of wine tasting, there’s live music, traditional dances (ball pagès) and tasting of typical island delicacies such as sobrassada and botifarra.
