Black music specialist SWAG Ibiza hits peak summer

The local hangout is open seven nights a week in the heart of Playa d'en Bossa.

SWAG Ibiza, the Black music specialist club in the heart of Playa d'en Bossa, is a firm favourite amongst locals. That doesn't mean tourists aren't more than welcome to get in on the fun.

The 750-person capacity nightspot adjoined to Hotel Garbi Ibiza & Spa has hit peak summer and is open seven nights a week.

Sure, Ibiza might be known primarily for its House music and associated sounds, but if you thought that's all that goes on here, then you're gravely mistaken.

There's a thriving Black music scene here, covering everything from Hip-Hop to R&B, Trap to Afrobeat and the increasingly popular Spanish-language genre, Reggaeton.

If you like these styles, then any night at SWAG Ibiza is likely to satisfy your nocturnal desires, although there are subtle differences from night to night.

Hitting the weekend a full pelt, Fridays are the sexy Spanish lady Señorita. Focusing on the aforementioned Reggaeton, it also features Latin-influenced House music. This includes occasional special guests, such as Guè (25 August), while Sfera Ebbasta appeared in July.

Saturdays are scandalous. Or should we say XCANDALOUS! The music policy is explicit Hip-Hop, Trap and Dancehall.

Sundays fall to Safari, which is an import from the Spanish Canary Islands off the coast of West Africa. Reggaeton, Trap and Caribbean music found here.

Mondays are Peaches with Peaches Soundsystem. Peaches focuses on the aforementioned Latin sound, but aside from that it's a very colourful party with lots of decor stamping its own signature.

Tuesdays fall under the banner of We Love Black Music, a German promotion which covers everything from Hip-Hop and R&B to Dancehall and Afrobeat.

SWAG Ibiza

We Love Black Music is back on Wednesdays, combining with XCANDALOUS to bring you SWAG Baby! AKA ladies' night.

Finally, Thursdays are SWAG's biggest promoters on rotation, taking it in turns for a bonus night.

Tickets for all parties are on sale now and are typically just €30 for each night, with the exception of special events which are sometimes more. You can find tickets and further info by clicking on the links above or heading to our trusty party calendar.
