After weeks of speculation (and several early leaks) One More Time Ibiza finally announces the one-off return of Mauro Picotto's MEGANITE on Thursday 17 August.
This time round, San Antonio super-club Eden opens its doors and welcomes MEGANITE into its arms as part of its nostalgia-laced Thursday programme.
Famed for its thumping Trance and Techno music, Mauro and friends would attract floor to ceiling crowds during its five year run between 2004 and 2009.
This is no small feat considering its home was once the world's largest club, Privilege Ibiza.
We can understand why Mauro has chosen Eden as MEGANITE's ressurection site. The club's professionalism and expertise in rekindling past flames and old loves is something it has a proven record for on the island. Plus, let's face it, there's a thirst for these misty-eyed novelties.
With the undeniable success of the Kevin & Perry Go Large themed parties and old school loving One More Time now with its own residency, we have little doubt this will deliver the desired success.
Italian DJ and Producer Mauro Picotto is an old pro himself. His legendary status within the dance music industry has spanned decades, as he racked up countless heavy hits and dancefloor fillers. There's a long list, but club classic Lizard (Gonna Get You) and his remix of York's On The Beach are two that still send tingles down the spine.
As we await the names of those joining him for this select night, we're already betting it will be the first of more to come. (and let's not forget there's still a vacancy on the 24 August to fill. Hmmm?)
