Local environmental NGO IbizaPreservation has actively campaigned to preserve the natural beauty and resources - both on land and sea - of the islands for 15 years now. On 6 March, it held a highly successful charity dinner and show in the swish London borough of Mayfair. Hosted by Park Chinois - whose owners also run Ibiza's famed Club Chinois, Beachouse, Mikasa and Finca La Plaza - the event was attended by around 120 guests with close links and deep affection for the island. The diners enjoyed a sumptuous Asian sharing menu specially curated by Executive Chef Che Liang Lee. This was followed by the venue’s iconic cabaret show and live music.
During the course of the event, guests were offered the chance to support the foundation by making donations via digital tablets and QR codes available at each table. In the end, the charity dinner raised the staggering sum of 100, 000 euros.
In her speech, Inma Saranova, the foundation's executive director, expressed her thanks to the owners of Park Chinois, as well as all those who contributed: "IbizaPreservation relies 100% on the generosity of our donors to support our work. The impressive amount contributed by guests to this event is vital to keep our environmental projects going and help them grow in scope and impact."
