Halloween parties happening on the island

Your handy guide to the spookiest time of year.

After a few weeks' rest since we waved goodbye to dancefloors, we've had plenty of time to put our feet up and take stock of summer. If anything, we're actually itching to get back and shake a limb.

Which is just as well, as Halloween is right around the corner. And in case you didn't know already, Ibiza comes alive for this day of the year! (we hope you tried your best Vincent Price impression there).

Whether you're seeking nocturnal delights in the clubs for adults-only or something for the whole family to enjoy, there's honestly plenty of choices to immerse yourself in this most gothic and supernatural time in the calendar.

Fancy dress is rarely an option on Ibiza when it comes to Halloween, but if you really can't bear to entertain it, there are a few alternatives for you grumps as well.

Club nights

All Monday 31 October

From Hell To Purgatory | Ethereal | Las Dalias & Akasha

Las Dalias has handed the reins to Ethereal Art Lab for Halloween. Dragging us from the fiery depths of eternal damnation and through the tormented layers of the afterlife, From Hell To Purgatory starts at 20:00 in the Garden with live acts Aigua and Medusa Odyssey.

Admission for the early part is only €10, however, there is a limited option to upgrade to a three-course set menu at €45 per person. Starters include croquetas or tacos. Pick from roasted pumpkin, baked cod in tomato salsa or cut of skirt steak, fries and chimichurri for mains.

Finish get by getting gory and sinking your teeth into the Bloody Fest cheesecake!

Later on, Akasha will open, featuring spooky sets from SIS, Iban Mendoza and Maricha. €25 tickets give you full access to the garden and the club (minus dinner).

House of Horrors hosted by La Troya | Club Chinois

Club Chinois' final advertised party of 2022 sees them stick with Monday night hosts La Troya. Anyone who has attended La Troya this summer will tell you the entertainment could already get a bit macabre already, but things will be taken up a notch for House of Horrors.

Expect slaughterhouse vibes overrun by crazed carnies, all presided over by dominatrix madam Baby Marcelo.

Resident DJs Oscar Colorado and Felix Da Funk are joined by a quartet of guests in the shape of Manu GonzalezDavina MossSarah Main and Carl Kennedy. BUY TICKETS

Halloween | Es Paradis

Es Paradis has kept the clubbing light burning in San Antonio, opening every night throughout October. But now the oil burns low and the flame starts to dim. What's that lurking in the shadows behind you? Your hairs stand on end and a chill shoots down your spine.

Your notice your breath deepen while your pulse rate races like the clappers. Suddenly you sense you're not alone... and you never will be on Es Paradis' dancefloor. It can only be Halloween!

Join all your fellow lost souls with music from Steeve Valverde and friends on the final night of summer. Tickets include the first drink on arrival. MORE INFO | BUY TICKETS

Melon Bomb Halloween | Lío Ibiza

Yet again this summer, Melon Bomb have conquered wherever they've played, from beachside soirees at Tanit, to taking over the sweaty bolthole that is Freddies at Pikes, as well as regular jaunts taking the roof off Hï Ibiza's Wild Corner. Those dancefloors are light and happy.

But things are going to take a dark and decadent turn, as Melon Bomb return to their annual haunting of the plush and debonair cabaret show, Lío Ibiza. Be seduced by sultry vampiresses and topless butlers, as you dance to the best House music this side of Hades.

General admission tickets are €50, but should you want to experience the fine dining prior to the club opening, you should contact Lío direct for table reservations. MORE INFO | BUY TICKETS

Octan Closing Party

Although participation in the Halloween festivities is high and allows both locals and visitors to channel their creative streak, dressing up isn't for everybody. Some just seek a good, old-fashioned, no-nonsense party, in which case the Octan Closing Party is the one for you.

Dispense with the dress code and come as you are, as revered selectors Dan Ghenacia, Traumer and 2vilas wave goodbye to Octan's season in the neighbourhood of Playa d'en Bossa. Early birds are available at the time of publication, guaranteeing a night of great underground music.

Halloween Party | Underground Ibiza

Underground Ibiza only formally closed its doors for summer this weekend just gone. But we always had a sneaky suspicion that we would see it again in 2022. Rising from the dead, so to speak, we get an encore with its Halloween Party.

So stir from your slumber, dust off the cobwebs and the spiders, pull yourself from your crypt and lurch down to the San Rafael bunker with the rest of the undead. Music from 21:00 until... devilishly late. Not for the faint of heart or those with a nervous disposition. MORE INFO

In addition to the ticketed parties above, there are various other ghoulish dancefloors to be found across the island. Santanna Oush takes her OuShé to the dark side with Oush-e-Ween at WOW Ibiza. Our high witch hostess invites Mavi de Mars and Miss Foster to join her coven.

At The Standard hotel in Ibiza Town, the Halloween celebrations are in the capable hands of Tania Vulcano, Willie Graff and 2vilas. Prizes given for the best costume!

Pre-Halloween Brunch | Nagai | Sunday 30 OCTOBER

Nagai gets the ball rolling a day early, with its Pre-Halloween Brunch. Music will be supplied by Elfigo and Sam Marzi, playing light and Disco-y between 14:00 and 16:00, but things get a bit more soulful and funky 16:00 to 18:00. There might even be a bit of Garage.

This date kicks off Nagai's winter brunch series. As for the food, the restaurant mysterious describes it as "fantasmagorical"... intriguing.

Knowing the gastronomic skills of owner Reina as we do, she'll no doubt be conjuring culinary spells in the kitchen, though over a wok instead of a cauldron. The Japanese-fusion food at Nagai is pure magic. We're confident you'll be bowled over by this real-life alchemy.

Halloween In The Park | Plaça de Sant Jordi de ses Salines | 31 October

Jointly organised by Ajuntament de Sant Josep de sa Talaia, IbizaIN, TDAHEF and Crealizando is the charitable Halloween In The Park. Starting at 18:30, there will be a circus, giant games, face painting, a contest for the best costume and a prize raffle.

The proceedings will be soundtracked by DJ Cardona, ending with a concert by the band Simple Rock. Expect drinks and food, with profits going directly to the organisations and the good causes and community projects they are involved in. MORE INFO

Of course, we couldn't talk at length about Halloween and not give some mention to the hottest party in town.

Pikes' infamous Halloween party, this year dubbed The Acid House, has sold out as it does every year. Tickets are to die for, so if you managed to get yours, well done! Guard them with your life.

DJs including Andy Wilson, Cici, David Phillips, Jon Woodall, Milou, Ryan O'Gorman and The Brothers Grim will be on hand to give the haunted hotel. It's going to be an awful lot of fun.

Wherever you're partying this Halloween, have a wicked time!
