Regardless of the eye-catching visuals, the social media likes and the number of tables filled in the VIP area, it's still the music that makes Ibiza's parties what they are. That's what gets people talking the next day and that is what will be recalled when reminiscing in years to come.
At Ibiza Spotlight, we do our utmost to give a clear reflection of the type of music you can expect at each party. Let's face it, everybody's tastes are different, and there's room for entry-level EDM, Spanish-language Reggaeton, as much as the prevalent genres of House and Techno.
Our Spotify channel contains party playlists from the island's most popular nights. As a rule, we only ever add music we identify whilst in attendance. That makes them 100 per cent genuine.
Some of our most popular can be listened to below, but there are loads more to be discovered if you fancy digging through our library. Who knows what you might stumble upon?
Paradise
Amnesia
Current no. of subscribers: 807
Genres: Tech House, Techno
Day: Wednesday (night)
Paradise's move to Amnesia has been over two years in the making. Fair to say that it has made up for lost time. Jamie Jones' tropical Tech House haven has raged over midweek all summer. As we approach the final straight, JJ goes back-to-back with an A-list guest most weeks.
Featuring music played by: Jamie Jones, Hot Since 82, Alan Fitzpatrick, Archie Hamilton & more
Other popular Amnesia playlists: Amnesia Presents, elrow
Defected
Eden
Current no. of subscribers: 661
Genres: House, Tech House
Day: Friday (night)
Defected underwent a public changing of the guard mid-summer, as Wez Saunders became CEO. Outside of the board room, it was business as usual - not least on Eden's dancefloor, where Defected reigned supreme. Combining cutting-edge contemporary House music with a dash of classics, Defected stuck to a winning formula that requires no tweaking.
Featuring music played by: Melé, Hannah Wants, Mason Collective, Sosa, Roger Sanchez & more
Black Coffee
Hï Ibiza
Current no. of subscribers: 3,016
Genres: Deep House, House
Day: Saturday (night)
Black Coffee should now be considered one of Ibiza's biggest draws. During 2022, he had his most consistent summer yet with crowds flocking to his parish every Saturday night. Next door, Damian Lazarus provided the perfect counterweight. The result is a spellbinding residency that captures the aura of deep, emotive House music and the tales it is capable of telling.
Featuring music played by: Black Coffee, Damian Lazarus
Other popular Hï Ibiza playlists: Afterlife, Glitterbox, The Martinez Brothers
Solomun +1
Pacha
Current no. of subscribers: 1,813
Genres: Deep House, Techno
Day: Sunday (night)
Solomun underlined why he is the jewel in Pacha's crown, as his Sunday night residency cemented its status. Our host invited a mixture of international peers as well as relative unknowns to join him, but the results were all the same: packed dancefloors, great music. Never one to stagnate, Solomun definitely made a conscious change of direction musically.
Featuring music played by: Solomun, keinemusik, Konstantin Sibold, Gerd Janson & Butch
Other popular Pacha playlists: Music On, The Masquerade
ANTS
Ushuaïa
Current no. of subscribers: 3,398
Genre: Tech House
Day: Saturday (daytime)
The summer of 2022 was the year the ANTS invaded.
Numbers-wise, ANTS continued to dominate, not least because of the loyal colony of workers who head down to Ushuaïa early each week to support. Perhaps the most unique thing about ANTS, is that it's driven by no one personality. Although Andrea Oliva regularly puts a shift in, the beauty of ANTS is that no matter who is playing, you're guaranteed fireworks.
Featuring music played by: Andrea Oliva, Richy Ahmed, Monki, Jamie Roy & more
Other popular Ushuaïa playlists: F*** ME I'M FAMOUS!, Armin van Buuren
