Defected confirms names for its BBC Radio 1 takeover

Dance Party host Danny Howard leads the frontline on Friday 5 August at Eden.

After keeping us in the dark for what seemed like an age, Defected has confirmed the names playing for its BBC Radio 1 takeover.

Dance Party host Danny Howard leads the frontline at Eden on Friday 5 August. He's joined in the booth by fellow Radio 1 presenter Arielle Free.

Also on the bill is life and soul of the party, John Summit. John has been practically based out of Ibiza this summer, playing almost every week including several times for Defected already.

Completing the bill and adding further fresh talent are fellow rising stars of the scene LP Giobbi and Jansons.

All in all, a future-leaning line-up that focuses on putting the next generation of headliners under the limelight.

This news coincides with Pyramid's line-up announcement on the Sunday leg of the weekend.

The party sandwiched between the two, ANTS on Saturday, had been out for a while. Pete Tong, Groove Armada, Hot Since 82, Richy Ahmed, Monki and Jamie Roy all play there.
