Ibiza Gay Pride is one of the most important dates on the European LGBTQI+ calendar.
This year, Ibiza Gay Pride is being held from 10 to 18 June. Spanning a full eight days, it will feature parties, shows, theatre, cinema, workshops.
Naturally, all eyes will be on Great March for LGTBIQ+ rights parade, starting at 20:00 h on Saturday, 18 June. This colourful street procession through the streets of the port in Ibiza Town will be followed by the reading of the manifesto.
After that, there will be performances and surprise goings-on at the statue for the corsairs on the harbour promenade up until midnight.
Before that though, there’s a plethora of events going on you won’t want to miss.
To get the week underway, there’s a fun-packed evening of shows and live music at the ICONOS stage on the main beach of San Antonio (S'Arenal) on Friday, 10 June.
This will include an acrobatic show, a flamenco show (both are free entry) and a DJ session with Macho Banana featuring music from the last 20 years. Live performance by Sandra Love & dancers.
The following night, Saturday, 11 June, the same venue, S'Arenal beach in San Antonio, will host Gala Diversity Celebration. Running from 19:00 to 01:00, the event will feature performances by Soraya Arnelas (Spain), Angelo Diep (Mexico), Wait What (UK) and Sandra Love (Bahamas) along with other artists still to be confirmed.
It promises to be a great evening with workshops, dance classes, theatre and much more.
Still in San Antonio, but shifting to a different venue, on Sunday, 12 June, from 16:30 to 23:00 Caló de s'Oli Auditorium in San Antonio Bay (here) is hosting a night of shows, theatre, workshops and dance classes. Aimed at all ages, from children to adults, this family-oriented event will be followed by a party attended by all the artists (find all details under the link further down this page).
On Wednesday, 15 June, it’s over to Can Ventosa cultural centre in Ibiza Town for the LGBTIQ+ Short Film Festival. Organised by Ibicine, the festival will screen the finalist short films (in original version with Spanish subtitles) before hosting an awards ceremony.
The following night, Thursday, 16 June, Can Ventosa cultural centre is home to Drag Funk, the island’s first-ever Drag Gala. Starting at 21:30 h, it is going to feature many well-known drag artistes, as well as a huge visual show by Ibiza Light Festival. With over 20 artists, it promises to be an action-packed night of music, dance, acrobatics and guaranteed fun.
