Dancing is set to return imminently to Ibiza and, after two long years, we can't express how much we're looking forward to it. We've got a lot of steam to let off.
Whilst the epidemiological situation is currently favourable, the regional government and Ibiza's nightlife association have agreed on measures that will allow dancefloors to reopen.
Getting clued-up on the admin is probably the last thing on your mind when you're preparing to party, but in this instance we strongly recommend you familiarise yourself with the restrictions.
These are:
- venues to operate at 75 per cent of capacity
- venues to close no later than 05:00
- all attendees to bring valid photographic ID, alongside either a Covid passport that shows full vaccination or recent recovery from the virus, or, a negative test result in their name within the last 72 hours
- masks are to be worn on the dancefloor
- no consumption of drinks on the dancefloor
- a designated area for drinking, where attendees must be seated
Understandably, it's the policy regarding masks that is causing a little hesitancy. The national mask mandate dictates that, when you're inside in a public space, whether that be a bus, shop, restaurant or club, the wearing of masks is still compulsory here.
The clubs will be policing the mask rule closely and it is all of our interests to protect them from prosecution or even closure. You will need to bring a mask and be wearing it to gain admission.
We'll also sure that once we're back together on the middle of the dancefloor, dancing like our lives depend on it, we'll quickly forget that we're even wearing one.
For a comprehensive list of all confirmed parties, you know what to do, head to our party calendar and get planning.
It's cliché and its become somewhat of a catchphrase, but we'll say it unashamedly again: see you on the dancefloor!
