Ibiza Spotlight Weekly News 2020 ep08

Oh, the things we have to do! This week we visit some of the best pools on Ibiza, most of which you can enjoy via a day pass...

Hi everyone, I'm Katie Knight and welcome back to Ibiza Spotlight News. This week I've been asked to go and check out some of the most iconic swimming pools on Ibiza and, well, how could I say no? So, we are starting my journey here in the cherry-shaped pool at Destino, Pacha Ibiza resort at Cap Martinet. The views are amazing, the food is delicious, the sunbeds are super comfy, and the music is always perfect for the moment.

I've driven north to Ibiza's original five-star spa resort, Hacienda Na Xamena, near the port of San Miguel. As you can see, this wonderful oasis of calm has spectacular views and been one of Ibiza's icons since 1971. There are 2 main pools and one indoor pool for visitors to the hotel and a unique cliff-top cascade of hydrotherapy pools for visitors to the spa.

Details of the Spa packages available at this wonderful resort, which includes dinner at the Eden restaurant, can be found in the description here.

Our next stop of the week is at one of Ibiza's most famous pools, here at the legendary Pikes Ibiza, the rock and roll hotel that never sleeps and a place where you never know who you might meet.

Now owned by Andy and Dawn from Ibiza Rocks, Pikes Ibiza always welcomes outside visitors to come and enjoy the unique atmosphere that you find around this pool on a regular basis.

This spectacular lagoon is the pool at Torre Del Mar, which is located and the end of Playa den Bossa. The superior four-star hotel and hydrotherapy spa has been owned by the same family throughout the last three generations and has been totally renovated twice.

The only original part to remain is the defence tower in the middle of the pool. Make sure you look out for it the next time you are about to land in Ibiza at night.

This really cool location is the rooftop infinity pool and cocktail lounge at One Ibiza Suites, which is located on the sea front at Figueretas and is only a short walk away from Ibiza town and very close to Playa d'en Bossa. One Ibiza Suites' pool has DJ sets, live music and is also available for private hire. Anyone can come and spend the day here at just €50 per person, which includes a €20 credit.

A few weeks ago, I took you to another of my favourite pools in Ibiza and I have to include it here. The pool at Nobu Ibiza Bay Hotel is only a few metres from the sand of Talamanca beach and even closer to one of my favourite restaurants on the Island – Nobu. Visitors are always welcome to spend the day on a bed at Nobu and to enjoy the gastronomic experience that the hotel has to offer.

Our final stop on this journey is here, at the magnificent 7Pines Resort Ibiza resort. This fantastic infinity pool has arguably the most inspiring views of them all. The resort is open until mid-October, with great day pass deals, welcoming both island visitors and residents to come and spend their time here. There is still plenty of opportunity to enjoy the experience, but it is essential to reserve in advance.

We hope that you've enjoyed our journey around some of the best swimming pools here in Ibiza. I most certainly have, but there's still a lot more to discover.
