Defected to launch four-day Ibiza festival

14-18 May spread across five island venues.

Simon Dunmore's global house label Defected has announced an Ibiza-based festival next summer.

The inaugural four-day event is set for early in the calendar, taking place between 14 and 18 May 2020.

Keen to keep an air of intrigue, information is limited at the moment. What we do know, is that sister party Glitterbox and the classic record label, which Defected owns, will be a part of the programme.

The press release also mentions fiveiconicvenues.

Speculation will now mount as to which five locations Defected is referring to. However, the party's home for the past three years, Eden, and Glitterbox's settled home of Hï must surely be front-runners.

Both brands have also hosted pre-parties at the world famous Café Mambo on the Sunset Strip in recent years.

Having successfully launched a London festival earlier this year, this is the latest addition to a portfolio that also includes Defected Croatia.

After Defected teased that it was making an Ibiza-related announcement this week, many assumed it would be confirming a weekly residency. This development is sure to get tongues wagging.

Defected celebrated 20 glorious years in 2019. Clearly, Simon and the Defected camp are not resting on their laurels heading into its 21st.

Further news will be published to our magazine, which is updated regularly.
