Three more dates left in Nits de Tanit world music festival

Get on down!

There's still time to catch the sixth edition of the Nits de Tanit world music cultural festival, with three dates still to come this summer in August and September.

Throughout summer, the island government, the Consell d'Eivissa, hosts this cultural event at the University campus behind the walled citadel of Dalt Vila.

Held annually, the festival has introduced the island to folk music and culture from many corners of the world, enchanting audiences with a broad spectrum of musical styles.

Toko Telo

So far this year we have been treated to acts as diverse as Madagascan trio Toko Telo, the unmistakably Celtic sound of Galician band, Luar Na Lubre, and Arabic influenced Kalàscima from Southern Italy.

Eivør Pálsdóttir

Still to come, on 16 August, the ethereal and haunting Nordic sounds of singer Eivør from the Faroe Islands and, on 18 August, Zoreh Jooya & Afghan Ensemble introduce us to centuries of Persian musical heritage.

Delgres

Wrapping things up, on 1 September, Parisian band Delgres bring their edgy version of rock and blues, Guadaloupe style.

All the events begin at 22:00, with the ticket office opening two hours before the event. Entrance costs €15 and a convenient free bus service is available to pick up from the Multicines cinema car park from 20:00 to 21:45.

Make your way to a Nits de Tanit and be wowed by world music.
