[UNVRS] unveils Carl Cox as its Sunday night headliner

When he walks into most rooms, all eyes turn to larger-than-life, perma-grinning Carl Cox. That's the gravity of his infectious personality. Coxy's jovial demeanour and boundless enthusiasm are illuminating.

However, more recently, he's been more conspicuous by his absence than his presence. We've not seen Coxy on Ibiza since summer 2022. There were even suggestions he was finished with the island.

Now, brand-new hyper-club [UNVRS] is righting the wrong, unveiling Carl Cox as its Sunday night headliner. After a two-year hiatus, the King has returned.

Starting 22 June and running until 21 September, this party has already sent shockwaves through the industry with the announcement. We can already tell it's going to go down in the history books.

In the big man's own words: "This is more than a comeback; it's a reunion with the island that shaped so much of my journey. I'm ready to take it back to what it's all about: unfiltered, soul-stirring music. Sundays at [UNVRS] is something I really want Ibiza to experience.

It's the night I believe the island should have."

He won't be alone. Just like his past island residences, Coxy will call upon the world's biggest House and Techno DJs.

The press release also makes reference to "taking a fresh approach to his much-loved DJ performances and setting a new benchmark". This might hint at his fabled hybrid sets, where Carl combines mixing with live hardware elements. We'll know more in due course.

Two out of seven nights at [UNVRS] are now confirmed. With elrow on Saturdays and Carl Cox on Sundays, the bar has been set mightily high already. We understand there are more surprises to come. Watch this space.
