Exploding music styles and redrawing boundaries, Solomun turns it up yet another notch for his newly announced dates at Destino. Taking over Destinomakers three times plus the closing party of the venue, his guests are - quite simply - mindblowing.
For the first date - Thursday 20 June - the Diynamic label head brings in one of Luxembourg's finest Francesco Tristano. The classically trained pianist and composer blends classical music and jazz with experimental techno and electronic music. The result is out of this world.
Next up on Thursday 18 July, Berlin-based production band GHEIST will be taking over the open-air clubbing oasis with a live performance. Both emotive and energetic, their progressive sound fuses house and techno textures creating the ultimate melodic journey.
The third date sees techno marching band MEUTE. Eleven drummers and horn players take the place of the DJ manufacturing an extraordinary dance affair. Fusing driving hypnotic techno with lively and expressive brass band music, they will perform live on 8 August. Here's a taste:
The final date doubles up as the Pacha resort's closing party on Thursday 4 October. Also playing live, Northern Irish underground artist New Jackson lands on Ibiza with his jammin', disco-tinted shade of house to close the season. Hell yeah.
One more inspiring than the other, these four dates not only see four exceptional live acts but also expand the boundaries of electronic music - all at one of the most picturesque open-air venues on the island. Trust us - you will want to be there.
