Skate, float or dive into the deep in this selection of our most-booked activities.

Ibiza is a relatively small island surrounded by water, so it stands to reason that there's plenty to do on the sea. Throw in the benefit of some of the best weather in Europe and there are few excuses why you shouldn't make a splash out of your time here. Let's take a closer look at Ibiza Spotlight's most popular activities on water - there's sure to be something there that you just have to do.

If you need more than aquatic fun, check out our most popular activities on land. We really do have it all covered!

boat trips

Going on a boat trip means you can discover the sheer beauty of Ibiza's gorgeous coastline. Excursiones Ibiza is packing them in on its much-loved around the island tour, where you take in stunning beaches, secret coves and caves and sweeping cliff faces. All that and a paella lunch and a barbecue at the end with live DJs. We can't get enough of the new for 2019 Es Vedra to Formentera trip, taking in two magical Balearic spots in one.

Watersports

Adrenaline junkies are well catered for in San Antonio and San Antonio Bay. Want to be pulled along by a speedboat as you grip an inflatable with white knuckles? Yeah, you do. Choose from the giant ring, the tornado or old favourite the banana boat. The fun doesn't stop there. Get high-tech and channel your inner Tony Stark, with the Iron-Man-like Flyboard. Trust us, it isn't as easy as it looks, but be the envy of your friends once you master it.

Surf Lounge

If Ibiza's waters are calm, would-be surfers might be left wanting, though thrillseekers need not miss out. Fancy yourself as a Beach Boy? Conquering Surf Lounge's indomitable Flowrider is the apex of bragging rights…so long as you don't fall flat on your face. Whether you stand victorious at the end or are nursing some humble pie, grab a bite to eat to take the edge off. We recommend the sliders.

Aguamar

No doubt in part to its hidden location, Aguamar might not be on your list. Ibiza's biggest water park is very much in existence and very popular for the whole family. Tucked away around the side of Hï Ibiza nightclub in Playa d'en Bossa, you can see the tall slides from the the road. Featuring several chutes with varying degrees of speed and adrenaline induction, either take on the Kamikaze or opt for a more leisurely choice. Several pools with depths for swimmers of all abilities mean you can cool off in the summer sun.

Scuba Ibiza

Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced instructor, the unique marine life found in the Balearics make Ibiza an unlikely hotspot for divers. Based in Marina Botafoch, Scuba Ibiza is the only dive centre qualified to PADI 5* CDC - the highest level. This means that first timers are in safe, knowledgeable hands that know all the best underwater sites. Waterproof camera equipment is also available for hire, so you can shoot those captivating images below the surface.

Kayak

Hugging close to the breathtaking coastline, your Kayak Ibiza guide will narrate your journey to concealed enclaves and across tranquil straits. You'll learn about the geology of the island, as well as some interesting history and a bit of local folklore. Snorkelling on this island is incredible, so jumping in and getting your feet wet is highly encouraged. You will even be taken to islets only accessible by sea - pretty exclusive.

Stand up paddle

Glide with elegance like a natural waterborne lifeform. There is something especially soothing and reflective about stand up paddling. You're always in safe hands with native islander, Ruben of SUP Paradise, who will show you the ropes. A bit like riding a bike, once you learn there's no looking back.

Smart Charter

Ibiza is an aspirational place, filled with affluent people who like to flaunt their wealth - just take a look at some of the yachts in the harbours. Whilst owning your own luxury vessel may be a pipedream for many of us, you can do the next best thing. Jump onboard with Smart Charter's shared luxury experience and cruise on one of the boats from its impressive fleet. Sunbathe on deck whilst grazing on hors d'oeuvres. You'll feel like a millionaire - if only for the day.
