This Saturday 24 November 2018 get in for a spirited race in Santa Gertrudis with the annual Carrera de Sa Sobrasada races - all are welcome to watch or join in the running.
All those wanting to don their running shoes will need to act fast as registration for the races closes this Thursday 22 November, so hurry, hurry.
The main race is a half-marathon of 21km, which starts at 18:00 and is divided into various categories of men's race, women's race, mixed (men and women) race and two categories of athletic races.
The winner of each category will win some sobrasadas, the local Ibizan spicy pork sausages after which the event is named.
The price to enter the main race is €6 per entrant which will be donated to local charity Proyecto Juntos which offers educational programmes for schools and works to combat childhood cancer.
A series of easier and shorter races start at 17:00 where people can enter for free and cover distances of between 100 and 1,600 metres.
All races require registration to participate, so it really is advised to sign up right away before the pending deadline.
