Rave ready for Do Not Sleep and ABODE closing

Titans of house and techno sounds set for a mega closing at Amnesia this Thursday.

Thursdays at Amnesia have well and truly been established as the bastion of all things house and techno with ABODE | Do Not Sleep. Their highly successful season comes to climatic ending on 27 September with a line-up that would satisfy any lustful raver.

In an exciting development, famous Manchester clubbing brand Kaluki will be teaming up with Do Not Sleep in the Club Room. Bringing in the DJ big guns, this room will be packed to the rafters with absolutely fire tunes being dropped left, right and centre.

Starting off you have the head honcho of We Are The Brave label and techno icon, Alan Fitzpatrick, making an appearance for the evening. Having launched his label project back in 2016 with summer club hit We Do What We Want, he has worked with big electronic music names like Harvey McKay, Gary Beck and Skream putting out a string of banging releases.

Speaking of Skream, the man himself will be in command of the Terrace under the ABODE banner at the closing as well. Never one to shy away from Ibiza, he frequents many of the island's club nights bringing his electric energy to every set he plays.

Back into the Club Room, London duo Dense & Pika will be laying down some serious beats. Staple producers on labels like Drumcode and Hotflush, they will certainly rumble the dance floor with their chunky production.

They are flanked by rave producers Pirate Copy who will no doubt get clubbers twisting and shaking along with Berlin lad Mathias Kaden.

Do Not Sleep resident Darius Syrossian has kept the underground party moving progressively forward year after year, venue after venue. In a surprising twist to this year's closings, he will be going back to back with a very special surprise guest for a three-hour extended set.

It's anyone's guess who this mystery mix master will be, but this DJ pairing will surely make big waves at the closing.

The Terrace also looks set to be a huge night as the ABODE crew have monumental plans for their part of this closing. Apart from the aforementioned don Skream, the ABODE line-up features the customary treasured residents along with some big names from the house scene.

First up is the winner of Breakthrough Artist in the 2018 edition of the DJ Awards Max Chapman. He will be dropping bombs with UK stars Secondcity, famous for hits like I Wanna Feel. Both will undoubtedly bring a special groove and have the Terrace pumping.

Longtime servers of beats for ABODE, GW Harrison and Will Taylor join forces once again. They certainly brought the house down at the opening with the final set of the evening - trust me, I was front of stage fully raving there myself. Their closing set will surely be of the same calibre at the very least.

Also on the closing roster, Manchester's Jimmy Switch, known for playing at the original Sankeys club, will be on deck duties. The energetic DJ stylings of Ellie Cocks will also make the dance floor quiver with excitement.

Combine Jimmy and Ellie together and you get a dance music match perfect for the ABODE closing. Check where the ABODE's residents like to chill and hang out whilst over in Ibiza in our interview article from early on this season here.

Kellie Allen is a well known local name amongst the Ibiza's clubbing scene. Resident of Lost In Ibiza Boat party, she blasts beats out whilst riding the Mediterranean waves.

She is joined by Lukaz Mac, a favourite of party regulars. Both will supply an atmosphere and mix of brilliant sounds.

So there you have it. A closing party provided by two house and techno behemoths. Both these two pillars of underground electronic dance music know exactly how to throw an awesome party. Get your rave on.
