Musical IDOLs galore at Sankeys new Tuesday night

With Timo Maas at the helm and a giant statue as the centrepiece, here are curveballs landing in Playa d'En Bossa.

IDOL – the new party concept taking over Tuesdays at Sankeys – has unveiled one of the most intriguing rosters summer 2018 has presented yet. Head resident Timo Maas is confirmed for seven of the nine dates but there's plenty more there. Dive in.

In week three, he is deputised by a live showcase from Minilogue's Sebastian Mullaert, while the following week dynamic duo Tiefschwarz stand in. It's fair to say that on both occasions

Other big names confirmed to be joining Timo throughout the series include Martin Buttrich, Roman Flügel and recent collaborator Basti Grub. It all starts with DJ Hell as the guest at the opening party on 3 July.

Another surprise package comes in the form of Placebo frontman Brian Molko on 31 July.

There are also appearances from Luca Donzelli and Qubiko. Other acts involved on a weekly basis on rotation include Alex Neri, Diego Donati, Heath Holme and King Joshua.

Considering the calibre of artists involved, it is clear to see how Sankeys will be transformed into a place of worship for music lovers this season. IDOL promises to take attendees on a futuristic voyage where music and art merge.

With nine dates from which to choose, IDOL has packed in some tasty options for the increasingly competitive Tuesdays.
