For a resplendent sunset, Es Codolar beach in the south of the island is one of pure magic. Striations and vivid blocks of reds, oranges and pinks await you when the sun sinks below the horizon at this long beach.
In winter, it's a favoured place for bracing walks or locals with their dogs who go for peace on this pebbly stretch. By day the vast sky has its own special inspiration, though it's really the sunset that will reward you the most with an amazing natural light show.
You can catch it is from the Sa Caleta road part or close to the cliff face of Cap d'es Falco - either way, it's an awe inspiring sight that you won't forget in a hurry. Go to the water's edge and soak it all in.
