Ibiza spring activities to do right now

This wonderful season is a great time of year to experience Ibiza to the fullest.

With the winter months coming to an end, the spring is one of the best times to visit Ibiza. Wildflowers are blooming everywhere, the skies are blue and you just want to be outdoors more to take in that fresh spring air.

Temperatures start to rise too and everything starts to be comfortably warm - a perfect time to visit and explore the White Isle and do some outdoor activities. You will glimpse a lot more people out and about, trying their hand at kayaking or windsurfing or you might see people atop a sturdy horse out in the countryside or taking a long walk. It's all here - now all it needs is you.

Stepping out in spring

Once on the island, there are plenty of activities to enjoy. For those who wish to see Ibiza's lush landscapes in all their glory, we would recommend one a hiking tour. These walking excursions come with a helpful professional guide who will show you amazing and secret locations. Discover some beautiful parts of the coastline, get to know its nature and uncover some hidden treasures few get to see.

Another great way to tour the island is on a bike. Tracks de Ibiza offers you specially created off- and on-road cycling tracks designed by an Olympic athlete. These are ideal for the pro-cyclist or even the less experienced one. The company offers great support services for your trip, including bike hire and accommodation - there is even a luggage transport service to take your things from hotel to hotel.

If you are feeling a bit competitive, why not try your hand at tennis? Viva Tennis in San Antonio has modern clay or artificial grass courts and for when you want to improve your strokes, you can get professional coaching too. It's a popular club and easy to get to wherever you are on the island.

Get active

If you are visiting with your children, then Acrobosc Ibiza makes for a great place to have family fun. This fantastic outdoor adventure park features a course of tightropes, zip lines and trampolines. A great workout for the kids that will leave them full of the joys of spring.

Taking a faithful horse companion over the valleys of Ibiza is another fantastic experience for all ages. Experience the countryside at its most natural by taking a ride with Ibiza Horse Valley.

Surf Lounge in San Antonio is a great family location to visit and is hugely popular. Testing your balance on an artificial wave machine is an activity which provides fun for both spectators and participants.

The beautiful clear waters of the sea are very inviting at this time of year. To add a bit of extra excitement, try a guided kayaking trip. These adventurous excursions are one of the best ways to explore the Ibiza coastline from the sea.

Feel the wind in your hair

If you like the wind rushing through your hair as you zip along, a Vespa tour is a nice motorised option for seeing the countryside on the classic Italian scooter. For adrenaline seekers who enjoy off-road fun, E Move Ibiza offers quad biking and buggy trips around the pretty and unspoilt north-west of Ibiza.

A trip with Ibiza Jeep Safari will take you to some of the best off-road spots on the island. You can hand over the driving to an experienced guide who will take you over rolling hills and through picturesque valleys - it's a blast. You'll be amazed at the outdoor sights you see in this countryside tour like no other.

If you want the freedom to travel around Ibiza yourself, then you can rent a car inexpensively. For a good car hire company, we recommend either Moto Luis or Autos Mari for great prices and service.

Food discoveries

For those that like to experience a culture through its food, Ibiza Food Tours offers an entree into a range of flavours for all hungry foodies. These tours give the opportunity to taste authentic and local ingredients in markets, cafes and restaurants whilst learning about Ibiza's culinary history.

If it was ever possible to have had enough of Ibiza, then a change of pace can be found on Formentera. An Aquabus Ferry trip there takes only 50 minutes from Ibiza Town. Tranquil Formentera is full of quiet beaches through the April and May months - a perfect opportunity to take a picnic and relax on the sands.

Time to get booking?

Flights out to the island during April and May are fairly easy on the pocket too starting from around €100 from several European countries. Whilst we know that prices won't all be as cheap as this, you can bag a bargain if you book now.
